Bedsheet had broken glass. Both kids got cuts from it. One on the leg and one near eye. We got free parking in compensation. That’s the level of service. We did not create scene. Will not recommend at all

We were totally underwhelmed by this hotel. We booked it because the reviews are good, but honestly felt we must have been in a different place to the reviews! Hotel felt old and worn. The walk to town is long with a long hill hike coming back. It’s $15 per night for parking. We didn’t get our complimentary drinks and had to ask for them. Reception seemed chaotic. We requested twin beds and didn’t get them. The pool was chilly. The water pressure in the shower was crazy strong and water sprayed all over the bathroom when you put the shower on. The toiletries in the bathroom were meagre. Overall we were disappointed and although the stay was fine, we wouldn’t go back. We didn’t book a lake view room and perhaps you get treated as second class if you don’t! Next time I’d look for something closer to the centre of town. Queenstown, however, we loved and would happily go back and spend longer time in.

LIKE: Beautiful setting, large mini suites. Very good meals and dinner menu selection. Cooked to order eggs are very well done. Pleasant and helpful staff. Need improvement: Breakfast hot choices from buffet service tend to be overcooked (scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages). Breakfast croissants and pastries are not always fresh. Room cleaning is very satisfactory, however, tiled floor cleaning and touch points on doors and cabinets need regular cleaning. Decor needs updating.

Quiet and Restful

3 nights in Queenstown after doin Otago Rail Trail. Room was comfortable and quiet but servicing a little bit and miss, almost 4pm one day and I don’t believe the carpet saw a vacuum cleaner throughout. Front desk and bar/restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Overall pretty good value for money but a little remote from Queenstown centre.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Rendezvous Heritage Hotel in Queenstown. The location, charm, and comfort of the hotel made our trip even more special. Dated property in need of renovation.

Dated property in a great location with an excellent view of the lake - needs renovation. Room was very old, king bed was a combination of 2 twins - UNCONFORTABLE and very soft, safe placed close to floor in closet - difficult to access. Bathroom needs renovation.

Absolutely adored our stay at the Heritage. From signing in to signing out we had a lovely experience. The staff were so kind and helpful and the hotel itself was gorgeous. Our only bit of feedback- and I’m scraping the barrel here- is that it would be nice to have smart TVs and drop the sky as it makes for better watching but with all the entertainment in the area and the stunning scenery there was little time for TV anyway.

Horrible hotel, horrible unfriendly staff. No complimentary drinks on arrival as promised l. Room was old and dirty, bathroom from the 80s and mouldy. No view at all and the smallest window ever. None of the doors are automatic and no staff offered to help with bags so you’re juggling bags with heavy doors and no assistance. Old lifts lots of stairs and no amenities. This would be a 3 star hotel at best. Staff were rude on arrival and then charged my card again even after I had paid when I booked so I paid twice and they didn’t seam to care at all. Would no return and would definitely not recommend. I
