Great location and a great suite! Staff left the lights on with the windows open, so when we arrived there were bugs everywhere…everywhere!! They cleaned the next morning but my kids were horrified and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. No one could clean because it was late. The rest of our stay was great. The suite’s layout was perfect and our view was awesome. The furnishings were worn and could use replacing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the space was clean. Had a higher exception of room quality based on other reviews and the 3.5 star rating going into our stay. Could see the space meeting the needs of other folks but would opt for something different next time.

Although the motel appeared basic to start with, everything was available in a relaxed atmosphere. The motel was very nicely equipped and the management obviously went to great lengths to ensure the property was pristine. Almost like a good hotel in many ways.

I arrived early morning and was allowed to place my bags in a storage area for the interim. The staff had left for the evening by the time I arrived for (late) checkin after a day hike. They we kind enough to arrange my key on the desk and had transferred my bags into my room. The hotel had a lovely gathering room with a nice view.

I had a great stay, I booked a single room with a shared bathroom, and it was perfect for my needs. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Even though I had a shared bathroom, I never saw anyone else, and it felt very private.

Comfortable single with nice shared bathroom.
Great location and view from deck/guest kitchen. Room was comfortable. Guest noise during day but quiet after 10. Toilet paper wasn’t replaced in shared bathrooms one night but minor issue.

Good for the price
Melbourne Lodge is great for the price. The rooms are big enough and the shared lounge/kitchen area is very useful. The shared bathroom facilities are clean and modern. The walls are quite thin and there is a lot of noise when other guests are walking through the hallways but that’s only a minor gripe. Other than that, a great spot.

Great place to stay, short walk to town as long as the return steep hill isn’t an issue. Really good common room stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking items for use, with access to front balcony and amazing view of the lake. Very comfortable queen bed room with a small balcony, furniture a bit tired but very clean. Would recommend.
