We had exceptional service. We needed to go to a meeting in Queenstown at 12.45 p.m. but when we arrived in Queenstown at around 11.00 a.m. the town was crowded and we coudn't see anywhere we could park. We decided to see if we could leave our car at Pinewood Lodge and walk back to town, about ten minutes walk. I went to reception. The receptionist checked our booking on the computer and said, "Your room's ready. You can move in now if you like." I accepted the offer. The receptionist pointed out the location, gave us the key and we moved in. If we are visiting Queenstown again, Pinewood Lodge will be our first choice place to stay.

Staff were lovely, rooms were really nice with heater already on making the room warm straight away when you get in. Shared bathrooms weren’t as bad as I thought everyone was nice and good to chat too. Bathrooms were always cleaned daily. Place is easily walking into town and transport to clubs and bars, Less than 10 minutes. Was a lovely stay with what it was per night. :)

Pinewood was a good find in Queenstown. Nice size room, comfortable beds, super clean and less than 10 min walk to the CBD. The place is really quiet and has a beautiful view of the mountains. My only complaint is about the reception. The person who made my check-in and check out was amazing! Super kind and informative, but on my third night, I needed to renew my wifi password (changes every 3 days), so I went to the reception at 8pm and a rude staff told me they were already close and that I needed to come back in the next day ( supposed be 10pm). She gave me the password, because I insisted a little bit, but with a really angry face.

Property is situated 10 minutes walk from town center. It is quiet and beautiful. The staff in reception nice and accommodating, especially Ku. The only challenge I had was the room doors slam and creak. Walls are thin. It would do them well to space guests further apart when possible to avoid noise issues. Otherwise nice stay. Good cafe nearby with trail up the gondola mountain!
