Iconic historic lodge on the shores of beautiful Lake Quinault. Room was clean and comfortable, but dated. The great room and grounds were spectacular and dinner in the Roosevelt Room was delicious. Great location, convenient to several rain forest hikes.
We loved the historic nature of the property, how quiet it was around the grounds, hiking across the street, very comfortable furnishings, and excellent meals at the dining room; the Smoked Salmon Hash with humming birds out the windows was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
If you want to get away from the world to experience the retro vibe with few amenities, this is the place. It has old world charm and good service and a touch of class.
The view of the lake from the property is outstanding.

This is a location to be off-grid. Secluded. Beautiful location. Lodge is old which is part of its charm, but old. When I stayed, there were an abundance of children with not much to do.
Do your research and print out hiking information in advance. The only thing I could find was a map the the Post Office.
Beautifull property! Our room did not have a TV and internet was limited to 90 consecutive minutes per day, but that was a great detox for our 1-night stay! We hiked along the lake and enjoyed the lake view. There are paddle boards and kayaks you can use, but the weather was a little bit too cold for that. Food at the restaurant was delicious!
Beautiful property, check in was no problem. The internet was a problem, they should just include (at what ever their cost is) in the room rate and you shouldn't need to go through the hoops necessary.
Was amazed at the view and grounds. Not happy had to wait so long to get into our room. TV had horrible reception no phone in room to reach front desk and pillows uncomfortable. Restaurant was very limited on entrees and overly priced. For the price of our stay I was very disappointed and am not in a hurry to come back.
I had my small wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so kind and helpful even with a couple hiccups in communication around the ceremony time. My family brings intense energy and im sure staff was pleased to have us done but they were absolutely accommodating and pleasant to work with . The surrounding area and lodging is stunning. My kids enjoyed many hours of pool time while the adults loved walking the local trails .
