Accessible hotel with breathtaking views of Quito

I had a solo stay at Vista de Angel Hotel with the purpose of relaxing and rejuvenating in Quito after a weeklong trip to the Galapagos. This hotel, located at the top of a hill, is the perfect place to decompress, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the historical downtown with a panoramic view of the iconic statue in the distance. Even if you choose to stay on the hotel premises, there is so much to do, including journaling/reading in the cafeteria or on the patio, getting a massage (didn’t opt for one this time), buying gifts at the little hotel shop, and having a nice dinner with drinks in the restaurant. I felt especially well taken care of by the front desk staff, Judith and David. They were helpful and honest in their recommendations for places to explore and the safest ways of getting there. I even asked David about his poncho, and we had a nice conversation about types of things I could buy at the Mercado Artesanal without cultural misappropriation, which I really appreciated. I had dinner here one night, and the ceviche was perfect. I loved my room (small but very fancy, with a very large and comfy bed) and shower (three different shower nozzles). I especially loved the accessibility of this hotel for wheelchair users, with its reliable elevator and walk-in shower. If you are the type of traveler who enjoys views, luxurious stays, and peaceful nights, this hotel would be great for you.

cute little hotel perched on a steep hill with great views of the city. Very steep sidewalks and street. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. My only negative insight is the the young hotel staff who arrange tours don't have any firsthand knowledge of the tour guides or locations.

Amazing view

Amazing hotel, James was extremely helpful, breakfast was nice, typical of all the hotels I used in Ecuador. Location to Old Town was excellent and only a $15 cab from historic equatorial line (mitad del Mundo) Only point I'd make is for some the hotel may feel cold although there is a tower heater in the bedroom which worked well.

We picked this gem of a hotel for its location in the heart of the old town, with views that are simply spectacular. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying in someone’s grand mansion. The breakfast, prepared by a sweet grandmother, was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The suites have towering ceilings that transport you to another time. The staff are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Highly recommended!"

This place is an absolute delight! The service is A , the food is amazing (the breakfast is fresh, the chocolate croissant, I can keep going)…..All of it!!! The rooms are spotless with the sweetest decor. Every detail is spot on. I highly recommend staying in this boutique hotel. I’ve not experienced anything quite like it. And did I mention the service? Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Come for the service and food but also make sure you take in the stunning views.

The property was beautiful. The staff was accomodating, friendly, and responsive. The restaurant was lovely and ornately adorned, the rooftop seating area was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were wonderful. I felt safe since you had to be buzzed in and out of the property. My room was a garden view looking into the atrium--so pretty! My room had EVERYTHING I needed. If you don’t mind steep roads, the property is definitely walkabout to all of historic Quito. If you can't do steps, then the drive up is less than $2. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I loved it.

Beautiful well kept historic building with truly stunning views from the room, the restaurant and roof top bar. Very attentive quality staff. Every amenity including hot tub and steam room. The hotel feels safe and secure. Not a place you’d walk to or from though. Ubers are only $2 to $4 to local spots. $27 to airport.
