Convenient to UNC Medical Center and places to eat. The elevators were not working when we arrived. We had to wait in the lobby for around 20-30 minutes before we could get to our room. I was with my 92 year old mother, so it was slightly frustrating, although we understood. There were not a lot of options for snacks and they were very expensive. We had been at the hospital all day and decided to get some snacks in the lobby because we were too tired to go to a restaurant. Some of the bananas were rotten. Most hotels that I have stayed at have have a nicer selection of snacks, so we were disappointed with that.

Travis was the absolute best! He made our stay! I would recommend staying here over and over again because the staff is amazing. It's a great location as well with spots to easy access like groceries, food, etc.

a bit noisy in rooms facing the main street
The hotel was pretty clean. I like the pool table and the comfortable setting at the first floor. The only problem is that my room was facing a main road, and it was pretty noisy at night. The staff told me that they will change the room for me the next night, but I never heard back from anyone so I ended up staying in the same room for my entire stay.

For the last two days the elevator was broken. We had a room on 5-th floor. I'm 80 years old and my wife had last year knee surgery. The staff was very helpful but still it was very inconvenient. This is the reason I selected "poor" for property conditions.
