I booked two rooms weeks ago to attend a friend's 65th birthday bash. I called 5 days prior to arrival to have them remove one room since we only needed one. They failed to remove the extra room from the reservation. I arrived at the hotel at 1:50 pm and had two voicemails that had been left at 11:45 am and 1:07 pm stating that they needed me to call by 2pm to place a credit card on file for check in. I booked through Expedia and the pay at hotel option was selected so no card was attached to the reservation. I arrived 10 mins before the cut off and was told that my reaervation had been canceled and they were almost sold out so I to make a new reservation using the app or they could do it. I checked the Hilton app and the Exoedia app and Expedia was a few dollars cheaper so instead of honoring my $194 reservation, for which I arrived on time for, i was price gouged and had to pay $280. The hotel staff at the desk at check were not pleasant and I called Hilton Honors desk to file a complaint to no avail. The floor in the room was wet in front of the bed, as well. After reviewing the hotel on Google, they asked me to call, and I spoke with the front desk manager and she was just as nasty and quoting what policy is and discounting the fact that I arrived at 1:50pm and they had already canceled the rooms prior to the 2pm cutoff they stated on their voicemail messages. I will never stay at this hotel again. I am an honors member and have only had one other bad experience.
