No Parking and a 2:00am Fire Drill
This is not a great hotel if you drive to it. There is no hotel parking nor valet service. You have to go down the block to a parking garage. While the vibe is kind of cool, closer inspection makes you think the rooms were designed by a rookie design student, the stuff just doesn’t fit together. While it was clean, it was not well kept. Our bathroom showed signs of lots of moisture problems and taking a shower resulted in a quart of water on the floor. There was a non-stop beeping throughout the night but we could never find the source. Then there was the 2:00am fire alarm that shut off after 5 minutes once we were on the way down the steps. At the price point, this was a disappointment, I would not go back even though we loved where it was located.

Great experience. Very friendly staff at check in. Loved the room service ( so few have it now) and the freshly ground coffee beans delivered to the room in the morning. Room was very clean. Will stay there again.

The Durham hotel is a quaint small hotel. Everything in Durham is walkable from the hotel. The hotel breakfast was very good and the rooftop bar is a fun place. Many excellent restaurants, bars, and craft cocktail lounges are in the area.

Very friendly staff, excellently supplied rooms and great additional benefits like daily coffee deliveries. The restaurant in the hotel is also very nice. A comfortable experience and the central location does help.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where the staff was as Friendly as at this place. Joe at the valet parking was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Everyone was amazing.
