This is a great accommodation on the south coast of Iceland! The hosts are very welcoming and the property is perfect. It has a waterfall, horses, farm dogs, a hot tub, and lots of local cultural charm. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Really an incredible place. The Garage is a small slice of heaven. The room is quaint and cozy, the farm animals and dogs are very sweet and the scenery around the property is truly special. Our stay will be something my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives. The daily fresh baked goods and Siggi (the owner) sneaking us some beer in the hot tub was the cherry on top.

We hae traveled around the world and stayed at dozens of accomodations, and I think this was our favorite stay we've had. The scenery here is absolutely beautiful, and the Milking Pit (room name) had everything we could have needed and then some. To top it all off, they had a couple of very well behaved playful dogs and a cat that made our morning start off at a high point. The shower was the best we had in Iceland, and the kitchenette was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area in the future and highly recommend this property to everyone!

This is in my top 5 for favorite places I have ever stayed. Everything about The Garage was wonderful. The charm, the room, the comfort, the delicious baked goods, the grounds...everything! We stayed two nights and it was the perfect Iceland stay. The view and area are absolutely beautiful. We had everything we needed. I would not pass up a chance to stay here if you have the opportunity!

A wonderful find.
We really enjoyed our stay- a quick overnight - and we would have enjoyed staying longer but we had to move on. I appreciated the large room, with amenities-- the ability to cook and have a dinner and breakfast "in" and the opportunity to enjoy the hot tub after driving, cooking and dinner. Communication was very good and I am sure if we had been able to stay longer- we would have enjoyed the sites close to the lodging and had an even nicer stay. Highly recommend.

The Garage was amazing. I felt like I was visiting family. Anna and Siggi made us feel very welcome. The property was great at communicating their amenities and what was available nearby. Their property is breath taking and their rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and quaint. I would highly recommend this property and would have stayed for days if we didn’t have a mobile itinerary. Probably my favorite stay

We loved our stay here and wish it was longer! Homemade chocolate cake and cookies on offer. Board games my 7 year old loved and quirky, fun room (the old haystack). It had everything we needed and the views from the apartment cant be beat!
