We expected more

This will have to be point form as i ran out of room in original write up. Redicilously expensive transport to/from airport. Over $100 NZ for wife and I for a 8 minute ride. Same cost to go anywhere on island. Water in taps not safe to drink. No one told us until we asked and then were initially told yes. They are not. There is a filtered water tap in laundry room. We had to ask about.No bottle of filtered water in room. No free wifi. No netflix on tv. We previously stayed at more budget place in Muri Moto that had free wifi, a bottle of filtered water in fridge, and easy access to the filtered tap. Oh, and Edgewater didnt inform transport company about our pick up. Food mediocre. No shade in pool. Lots of little kids so better for families.

Stayed here 10 years ago. Has a very different feel about it now. Either that or our needs have changed. Felt too busy and service was not as good. Wasn’t bad but would chose to stay elsewhere next time.

500 plus rooms make it easier to communicate with outside world free wifi or something from A business perspective make sense cost of accommodation and flights should easy cover the cost of wifi. Does not help having to purchase package to check in for your flight and lost luggage and no other way to communicate with the outside world.aprt from that resort good clean workers are grafters. Let me ask do they need to turn the rooms around every day not really every 2 is good

Edgewater Resort was a fantastic place to stay with the family. Daily breakfasts were excellent and the service was even better. Recommend using their booking service with Tamatoa as he was very helpful. We will certainly be back.

The staff around of resort where friendly and helpful, not so good was the explanation on the need to provide 500 dollars on top of room payment and then the waiting of 5 days for it to be refunded, the other was the 3.5 surge charge every time you pay for something on card . Beach swimming for young’s kids 2/ 4 years old not suitable to steep and rough. Beatiful views . I was in lagoon rooms much nicer then beach access rooms .

We stayed at the Edgewater for 8 nights. We were incredibly happy with the resort. The staff was amazing. It was very clean. Conveniently located and right on the beach. We would highly recommend!

Edgewater resort was a great location , nice and quiet, but also easily accessible for a walk on the beach, or food options. Rooms are large (beachfront) and clean, bed was comfortable and the housekeeping staff are fantastic, soo much sand. We hate at both the main restaurant and spaghetti house, both places are great, the main restaurant had amazing lamb shanks. The guest relations team ( Trina especially) went above and beyond for us , I was travelling with my 13yo, she gave us so many great options plus even the odd request was never a problem. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, or recommend.

A great Resort for families with everything you need there to make it feel like a good holiday. We especially appreciated the Gluten Free Breakfast & also the restaurant having Gluten free options as we have a daughter who has Coeliac Disease. The staff are so friendly & helpful & we took advantage of the kids club who were wonderful with our 3 children that it gave mum & dad a break with no stress or worries. I highly recommend this resort for families who are looking for a holiday on a budget but tickets all the boxes that your having a lovely island holiday.
