The girl at the desk refused to honor our prepaid room and asked for cash. She also gave her personal cell number for management to call to resolve the issue. We were finally given a refund from Hotels.com.

I arrived at Raton, NM. Got a phone message that the Rodeway Motel is permanently closed. I went to the location; the sign was down, there was no one in the parking lot and the office was closed. Expedia should be doing a better job. I expect a full refund.

Needs improvement.

Did not have a room for us, but offered adjoining rooms instead. The cable was out due to a storm that had passed through. Had to wait to check in until room was cleaned. The commode was rocky. Needed to be bolted down more. Coffee pot in one of the rooms but no coffee or cups available. The person checking us in was very sweet and apologetic regarding the room choice. Sign for locating the hotel was not clearly identified. Had a little problem locationg the hotel.

This property should not be allowed to operate as a hotel or anything. NO hot water, doors to rooms do not lock or even close. Conditions of property so bad, it literally needs to be shut down.

Room not maintained. Light bulbs out, light fixtures unplugged, tub drain stopped up, doors would not close or open without extra effort or not at all. Refrigerator never cooled down even after 12 hours. On a good note bed was very comfy and a/c worked great with minimal noise!! Staff was very helpful in making things better.

The parking lot was not plowed. I had to carry my luggage on my shoulder. My feet were tripped up by deep tire tracks.

The motel is very clean and remodeled. The owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. We will stay again. Thank you.

Great value!

Great value place to stay for all those on a budget. New owner is doing a complete remodel / update on all rooms including new paint, new furniture, new appliances, etc. Pet friendly with minimal charge for pets. Highly recommended no-frills place to stay.
