There is absolutely nothing to do in Raton for us. It’s just that we had to stop for a night. On this date we were offered the Victoria room and the room was excellent. The breakfast they serve is very good.

We stayed there for 2 nights total. 1 night for a stop from Dallas to Dubois and 1 night for a stop from Dubois to Dallas. When we booked it through Expedia we were shown two beds from a room named Victoria and we were offered that while heading to Dubois. But while coming back from Dubois the room we got was “Royal Quadruple” had nothing Royal at all, which we dint expect but the room dint even had good beds. Entire night my girls couldn’t sleep on the couch bed. So we exchanged our beds at 3:00 am which is middle of night after traveling with 2 kids for such long drive. Now only after sleeping on the couch bed I realized how horrible that bed was. It was just like a dorm bed. Because we had so good experience staying in their Victoria room this Royal room terrified us. The flooring of the Royal room is so old that in the night every step was making so so much of noise. The breakfast they serve is very very good. So the only suggestion for whoever reading this review everything else was nice in the stay other than the Royal room. DONT BOOK THE ROYAL ROOM

I have stayed at Hearts Desire multiple times now. Sofia and Jason are great hosts, and they have worked hard to establish a B&B that is relaxing and safe. I will come again. I also like that I can walk to the restaurants downtown and even walk the neighborhood for a little exercise. Also close to hiking trails that overlook Raton.

What a charming little B&B!! Super cozy and pretty, loved all of the details. The couple who own it are so sweet and had an amazing hot breakfast in the morning for all guests. Loved the small town historic feel!!

Very Nice B&B

Great location right downtown. Very quiet and restful. Easy walking distance to a moderate hiking area at Climax Canyon. Very good service, very clean, secure. Amazing breakfast.

Welcome place to stay!

Nice but short! Wish we could have enjoyed the breakfast but we had to get on the road. The hosts did put some things in the frig for us to take which was very thoughtful. Home is lovely and the hosts were warm, welcoming and helpful!! Thank you!!

Calling yourself a bed and breakfast promises 2 things-a place to sleep and breakfast. On the first item Hearts Desire came through. They provided a bed. On the second, they failed miserably. The listing and messages talk about the hours when breakfast is served. No hot breakfast was served. We saw no staff. They left packaged cereal bars and instant oatmeal. The type of breakfast you could get at 7-11. Don’t stay here and expect a true B&B experience.
