We had stayed at this hotel for family events in the past - several years ago - and found it to be more than adequate. Hard to describe our surprise when we found it in pretty run down state this time. Metal frame with a mattress on top as the bed, dirty towels, even the soap package dirty, broken and dirty burners. Once we 'chatted' with a few people hanging around the outside, we realized the main change: The place is now also used to provide temporary housing for homeless people from the area. We understand that those kinds of arrangements are necessary and people need help, but you should really let potential hotel guest know in advance and let them make the decision as to where they want to stay. Fortunately, I guess, we had to change our plans anyway and depart earlier and the hotel staff was very nice in cancelling and refunding the remaining three nights. I think in the future, I may have to rely in Trivago for my advance bookings, since Expedia wasn't that forthcoming in describing this establishment.
