The property for the price is not there. Very old, unclean and dated rooms. Especially for price point. People were nice and friendly. Breakfast was wrong two days in a row but staff very nice.

Bet tender was so kind, there was an older man in suspenders that melted my heart, the view was beautiful, I think the patio should be a bigger selling point on the website, the room was exactly what it needed to be, pillows were fantastic, and I wish I could have stayed a bit longer and had my family with me. They would have LOVED it.

Room was spotless and very comfortable. So happy that I didn’t have to request feather-free pillows and bedding. Restaurant has a lovely view of the Navesink River area. Special shoutout to Josh (who checked us in). He’s a sweetheart and could not have made us feel more welcome. We were in town to attend Little Feat show (at the Count Basie Theater). When we returned after the show, Josh was waiting to hear about it. We had a lovely trip and will happily stay at the Molly Pitcher again.

The property is a shabby version of its former self. The room was dark. The wallpaper faded and tired. The furniture had seen better days. The TV was at least 15 years old and stopped working on the morning of our checkout. There was no elevator service to our floor, forcing my poor husband to lug our bags down 2 flights of narrow steps. The caulking in the bathroom would make one think a child had painted it. The caulk in the tiles was grimey. The linen was clean and the bed comfortable. These were the only saving graces. We were in town for a funeral. We had requested to move rooms due to the complications of getting luggage to a lower level with no assistance. We were told we couldn't have a different room without a change in rate and essentially re-boooking the room. This would have costs us a significant amount more in the room cost. I am currently a furloughed Federal worker. I thought the room was too expensive to begin with. Adding the potential for additional costs and the quality of the hotel, I would say it was worth a $60 stay, not well over $250 a night. The Hampton Inn would have been better! This is not a luxury or even a nice boutique hotel. This is a place you go for the scenery and maybe the food (we didn't try the restaurant). I definitely don't recommend staying here. The only reason for 3 stars on cleanliness was due to the linen being clean, plentiful and the housekeeping was helpful.

The common areas of the Molly Pitcher are very nice. Same goes for the riverfront location and Red Bank is a very walkable town. Our room, on the other hand, was quite small and lacked sufficient power outlets. And, the tub/shower lacked any grab bars which I view as an essential item in any hotel. A rubber tub mat just does not suffice for.basic guest safety.

Rooms are very small and quaint. Our window was stained very badly from the outside so the view we hoped we would have was unseeable! Also nowhere where is it listed the dock outside the pool is private. We hoped we would be able to sit on the dock, but that again was undoable.! The pool was also ice cold and we were unable to go in it so all in all the help was fantastic. The staff was unbelievable. They were great. The rooms were clean for the most part and basically we paid a high price to sleep.

We were put in the basement in a smelly room. They moved us when we asked to be moved (to another basement room that wasn’t musty) but instead of cleaning the first room they just assigned another guest to it. Over $350/night for a basement room is ridiculously expensive.

Horrible stay We were sent to a room all the way down to the basement , no elevator access only stairs carrying our own luggage - no one helped or care to even hold the door when we were coming inside ! When we asked to change the room because we couldn’t carry the heavy luggage they said they couldn’t because we booked through Expedia Finally after basically begging them they moved us one floor up ! We called to request a WiFi password and the hung up on us twice , we had to go to the lobby to ask ! Extremely rude staff , front desk was so so rude I cannot believe they treat people like that ! Never going back and NEVER recommending this awful place! Stay away !!!
