Loved the indoor and outdoor pools, however, they are not heated in the off season. The hotel was beautiful and the staff in the restaurant for breakfast were absolutely outstanding. The room was very comfortable and modern and we wished we could have stayed longer. The area around is great for shops and restaurants and easily walkable along the beautiful boardwalk, with fun carnivals, etc on weekends.

This is our 6th or 7th stay and we always have a great time. First: It is just an hour and a half from the Upper East Side under normal (not rush hour) conditions. Second: It is right on the beach and the beach is very nice. Third: Long Branch is cool. There's the Pier Village you can very easily walk to from the resort and then there are a lot of good places to eat and snack just a short drive away. Pier Village is pricey and the quality is hiit or miss and you can get caught in long waits if you are not strategic. The Turning Point breakfast plave is solid and the only reaaonable eatery in the village. Rooney's is a good seafood place about 5 mins down the boardwalk in the other direction. Oh yeah, Nichola Creamery has killer ice cream and unique fllavors. Fourth: The hotel itself is fine. Elevators were quick. The room is clean and on the spacious side. Hot water is always good and so is the AC. Each room is pleasant and has a balcony with at least some view of the ocean if not spectacular. We brought our dog and got a room towards the back on the 4th floor overlooking the banquet hall roof and the view still managed to be pleasant. Parking was easy and things are fine. There is also pretty good chair & umbrella service on the beach and towel service at pool and ocean is decent---no complaints. Things are a little rough around the edges; the outside of the hotel could use a painting and so could the pool. It is pricey, but you are right on the beach!
