We had a very enjoyable girls getaway! Our room had a beautiful view and was much larger than we expected! There was so much to explore, awesome pool with a bar/ food...very friendly staff who worked hard !!

Once we arrived we were informed that parking at the hotel would be $90 a day and that there is metered parking on the street that you had to pay everyday from 9am to 2am. Once we checked in we were placed on the 4th floor which later that day I was told was the dog floor (because we had bugs in the room) and we didnt have a dog so the desk clerk couldn't understand why we were there. Due to the hotel being booked they couldn't change the room. The next day i spoke with a manager and he changed my room to a different floor and said he would comp me the resort fees for my stay. On checkout day the fees were still there. I told the desk clerk what her manager told me so she got a different manager and she only wanted to comp me two days and I said No, he said all days! And with an attitude she removed the fees and proceeded to talk very stern to her employee. This hotel is tooo expensive to not to be able to keep up with cleanliness (dog or not), to not have free parking and to only offer coffee in the lobby of the hotel. I also noticed when i was at the pool quite a few windows was boarded up.

The property is in a convenient location and is well maintained. We had a lovely view of the ocean. The valet parking is convenient though very expensive. Asbury Park has a very serious parking shortage during the season. Once we got used to the idea of $90 a day for valet parking, we enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast options are very limited also.

Perfect location, hotel itself could use upgrades

The hotel is in a perfect location and easily accessible to many different spots in Asbury Park. The room itself was large and comfortable, the shower had decent water pressure, the bathroom could use a major overhaul as there is not enough counter space to put anything. The room was also lacking outlets I had to unplug a bunch of lights to use the outlets. There is also no coffee pot in the room. What I hated is the hotel makes you wear a stupid wristband throughout your stay to know you’re staying with them. This is so ridiculous and impractical. Elevators also need to be upgraded as they are making a bunch of noise and shake a bunch.

I enjoyed the old-timey feel of the building. The young person working in the cafe was extremely thoughtful and helpful. I was disappointed that when I asked the front desk for to change a $20 bill, they informed me that they are a cashless facility and I should ask one of the doormen to change my bill. I understand that many businesses are cashless, but someone aside from the doormen should be able to change a $20 bill. I needed to leave housekeeping a tip. Small details matter! Aside from that, it was a very pleasurable stay.

The beds were nice and firm. It's hard to find hotels with beds that are supportive for the back. Spacious rooms and nice staff. Parking could be challenging on the weekends but public parking is totally doable.
