Huge hotel conveniently located a short walk to the beach. Room was pretty big. Our window overlooked the roof but I'm sure some of the windows have much nicer views! The only complaint really would be the bathtub tap which you had to spin all the way around to use and seemed to be falling off the wall! Restaurant options - cafe, pizza bar, and the other two bars were great and the woman whose name I did not catch was wonderful!

We had constant issues during our weekend stay. Check-in involved a long wait, and when we finally got to our room, it was already occupied. We had to carry our luggage back to the lobby, wait again, and were told it was a mix-up. We were given a new room, but the key cards didn’t work—they hadn’t been activated. After another trip to the lobby, we finally got in, only to find just two towels, so we had to request more. Our friends arrived later and were assigned our original (still occupied) room, despite us having reported the issue. They had to go through the same hassle to get reassigned. At the hotel bar, the live music on Saturday night was enjoyable, but way too loud for the small space. While our husbands had drinks, my friend and I went for water—until we saw mold or algae growing in the dispenser. Clearly, it hadn’t been cleaned. The hotel looks beautiful, but management seriously lacks attention to detail. Room assignments were poorly handled, service was inefficient, and cleanliness was a concern.

The hotel looks recently renovated and is very clean. Great location, room is big, and we even had a partial view of the ocean. I’m sure the hotel is quiet if you aren’t there on Pride weekend. Our room smelled like cleaning products and we could not get the AC to cool the room or get the humidity out. Everything I put in the fridge was frozen solid the next morning and had to be thrown away. At checkout, I mentioned this to the staff at the desk and she totally dismissed it. No “sorry for the inconvenience” or anything. She didn’t even look me in the face. That’s what will keep me from ever staying there again. All other staff were friendly and kind. Went to the cafe in the hotel to get coffee and couldn’t find someone who worked there. Ended up at the coffee shop across the street instead.

Always nice to stay at the Berkeley. Old world jersey shore feel but kept up very well. The staff are all extra helpful and friendly - and they’re dog friendly and right on the beach!

The furnishings are cheap considering what I was paying for the room. Not happy about the $90 overnight valet parking fee. Room was small overlooking a roof top.overpriced breakfast . Need a better choice of colors for the room hallways. Everything just looks old.

The venue was recently renovated. You can tell this venue has been around for a really long time, but probably not the best place to stay with kids. The vibe definitely seemed to be more of an adult crowd throughout the stay. Fiest the website pictures give off that the balcony.s were in the room when there is not one room with an balcony. Secondly check in took some time before anyone arrived to check us in. The food was mediocre Overall not worth the money spent.

We had a standard king room with a partial ocean view. The room was clean but a bit dated. The staff never came back to service the room. They came to our door around 10am on Sunday and I asked for them to come later. We came back to the room at 5:30pm and it wasn’t touched. The staff at the front desk and the doormen were very friendly and helpful.
