We had made a reservation for dogs but we were told we should have called ahead as they didn’t have that info and the had to find us something and the first room we let ourselves in but it was already occupied, very embarrassing for both parties. Went down stairs and it was rectified

We have stayed here a few times now, and some of our friends have too. Its gotta be the beat and nicest hotel around. Im sure it is! But something always seems to come up that ticks me off about this hotel. Last time, on a weekend getaway with my Lady, we had planned our weekend around using the Pool and Hot Tub. Both were out of service!! There was no mention of it when we booked, so we were very let down. I asked quite seriously for a reduction in the room rate, but that went nowhere. After the property manager came in, i had another chat about the pool issue and our huge disappointment, i got more excuses than resolutions! This time, i had to say something to the desk cleark at check-in, when he applied a $200 hold to my Credit Card for "Incidentals"!!?? This hotel doesn't even have a Lounge, Restaurant, Cafe, Mini-Bar, or any real way of incurring any Incidental charges? The room rate was only $170 including tax!! I am fine with maybe $100. I would suggest this "Policy" be reviewed and adjusted!!
