The carpets in the rooms were filthy and stained. The staircases smelled like vomit. Half the lights in the room didnt work. The shower temperature flucuated from hot to cold. There were derelicts living in trashed trailers in the back parking lot. Their gym room didn't have a single piece of working equipment. Their continental breakfast consisted of no hot food except for a waffle machine, all it was was cheap toast and oatmeal, apples, and yogurt. There were homeless people going through the trash and leaving it all over the sidewalks outside. People propped the back doors open with rocks so anyone could get inside. Neighbors upstairs were obnoxious, dropping things on the floor and stomping around, dumping beer and cigarettes off their balcony. Nothing bad to say about the front desk, they were polite and formal. I feel deceived by their advertisements of having all these amenities when none of them actually work and their breakfast is a joke.

Not so clean

The room was surface clean. The carpet was disgusting, maybe mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Table leg was jimmy rigged with I don’t know what so it was falling off. The mini refrigerator was extremely loud. The mattresses were worn out and lumpy. The breakfast food was not edible and had to throw it out. But the people were nice and friendly and the sheets were clean (I hope)

Checking in (with Izzy) was great. I went back to the front desk after checking in to ask Izzy some questions. There were several other people in front of me. Izzy took appropriate time with each person, saying several times to those of waiting, "Thanks for your patience. I'll be with you as soon as I can." I much appreciated his saying that. He was very professional and personable. Three negatives: 1) The 1st floor ice machine didn't work. There was no note of apology for the inconvenience. There was no note saying the only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor. We had to go to the front desk to ask. 2) The TV had only 6 channels. There was no local or world news channels or any channels usually offered by other hotels. 3) We always ask for a receipt to be printed when we check out. La Quinta gave us essentially a blank piece of paper. No charges were shown. On this trip we stayed at two other hotels. We got receipts showing all charges. All the hotels we've stayed in on past trips have all given us receipts showing all charges. Not here. We don't recommend this particular La Quinta location. In our future travels, in fact, we will not stay at any La Quinta in other locations.

Dirty bedding

It’s a very conscientious location but our sheets and bedding had hair on them. I went and asked house keeping for them and waited and she didn’t come so I went back for them and took our olds ones back. My husband had hair all over his pants when he got up. I think it was dog hair. It was gross and the floors were dirty.
