We had a jacuzzi suite. The tub had hairs and pubic hairs from the previous renter. I told the gentleman at the front desk about it and he wasn’t concerned. I asked him to be switched to any room including a down grade cause I’m a germaphobe and he refused. He was very dismissive and did not acknowledge my concerns. The gentleman who checked me in was great and I don’t think I would have this same concern. But the late night coverage is unprofessional and unconcerned with what’s going on.

Guest beware of Room 124. I emailed these concerns to hotel management and they never responded that they were going to fix these problems. Thus, guests have a right to know these things aren’t fixed: 1.When a guest flushes the toilet, the stopper does NOT go down. Thus, water runs ALL day until the guest manually lifts the flusher handle up. 2. Replace the toilet seat. $30. It is old, and a guest might leave a bad review that it is unsanitary when it is cleaned- but just old. 3. Entry door. Needs either reframing or re-leveling. I can fit my hand through the gap between the door and the lock plate. This is a SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. It also RATTLES LOUDLY EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMEONE opens a door in the hallway. 4. Entry light bulb needs replacing. 5. The exhaust fan in the bathroom does not work.

Desk staff are very helpful and friendly. In six days of staying there, the maid service showed up only one time The bed is not very comfortable and the pillows are awful. The continental breakfast is fine and I enjoyed it, but some fresh fruit would be truly wonderful. The breakfast is a carbohydrate feast. The hotel is very kind in regard to dogs.

The Wave is the perfect hotel to stay at. It is close to food and shopping and convenient to the beach. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was extensive. The coffee bar, which is available 24/7 Was just what we needed. There’s even a real fireplace in the lobby for those chili evenings.

Great rate. First night upon arrival the staff (Derek) put us in a room that slept 3 (king bed, single sofa bed) even though our reservation was for 4 people. When I went down and spoke with him about this (where was the 4th person supposed to sleep?) he acted confused - - he said all the sofa beds were the same in the hotel and the only thing he could do was move us to a room with two queen beds. No thanks. We booked a room with a separate sofa bed for the kids on purpose - - and since the room we booked was for 4 people the sofa bed must have been a double/queen bed. BUT the very next day we happened to see the sofa in the room next door was clearly longer than ours - - a double not a single sofa bed. Derek switched our room but was very rude about it - - "I've seen the room 100 times" he said when I suggested he go check out the single sofa bed for next time so he could be informed of the difference - - not all the sofa beds are the same. In the future just apologize, and tell the guest you will discount them for the first night for the inconvenience (one of our kids had to sleep with us the first night) and put them in the RIGHT ROOM the next night. The fact that he was so rude about it and totally unwilling to admit his mistake in the process left a very sour taste for the whole experience. Everything was dirty. Pool freezing. It was conveniently located but we won't be back.

Took my Mom to the beach for her birthday and she loved the hotel and time there. She really wanted one of the Hotel Wave pillows, but unfortunately, you don't sell them. Clean, big room that allows pets. A+ in my book.
