An honest review. Great place to stay

The reviews for this hotel made me nervous. We arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. Front desk staff were very nice. The fresh iced lemon water in the lobby was a nice option. Simple fresh brewee coffee machine in the lobby. This place is not fancy, but neither are we. But it wasn't dirty. Scuffed here and there, but you absolutely cannot beat the location. Oceanfront on the boardwalk. Minutes to walk to the bandstand and main shopping area and restaurants. There is a nice porch to sit on. The beach access is perfect and there is a foot washing station right as you exit the beach to rinse off the sand. Parking can be tricky, especially at night. We only moved the car once during our stay.

Automatic coffee machine in lobby. Not great coffee but fits the bill. You choose the type of coffee, strength, and can add milk. They had coffeemate on the counter as well.

Shop around to find hotels with extra. To expensive for not having what other hotels have, breakfast, gym, pool. View was limited but parking was included and location was good as well. Don’t plan to use this hotel again if I go back to this area.

Spacious rooms

The room was spacious (2 bedrooms). Located right on the boardwalk and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, treat shops and arcades. The hotel had parking. The employees we encountered were very nice.

The only great thing about our stay was that we were on the beach. The hotel is pretty rundown with a lot of patching, for the price I was disappointed. The beds are super uncomfortable, felt like I was sleeping on a marshmallow! The hotel staff was not helpful and sometimes even a bit rude. For example, one evening after dinner we asked what time the beach access closed and the only person at the front desk had no idea, but we were at a beach hotel! And there’s nothing else to do there’s no pool and there’s no gym. Finally, the parking lot is awful. We were in a very small vehicle, but yet it was still hard to park. If the hotel was half the price I paid for it. I would understand, but it is way overpriced.

Never Again

Room had a weird odor, the staff said the smell must’ve came in when I opened the door. The stench was moldy. Room in general was rundown, worn and dirty. Cooling controls for room environment didn’t work properly it was either blowing snowballs or would cut off for lengthy periods of time and turn back on when it was 75+ in the room. The floor was sticky and sandy. This place was top dollar cost wise and the advertisement online was misleading. Won’t be going back to this hotel.

Liked : Close to the beach . Had a deck with chairs you could sit and look at the ocean view. Didn't like : Room was not ready at designated check-in time. Air conditioner was very loud. Was unable to get maid service near the end of the stay. Desk staff had to bring clean towels and take our garbage.
