The hotel and property was very clean, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The casino allows smoking ( which were not used to being from California), but the ventilation system works well and we didn’t have a lingering smoke smell on our clothes.

Returning next year more in the know

Id go back, but for our experience resort tower facing the recycleables place will hear it all hours of operation. The regular room with 2 beds is extremely small tho. We got a sep room for the kids and they ate still on top of each other. But the place offers alot for its guests. Lots of parking, a little confusing at first to figure whete to start. Good elevators, good smelling Ac/ventilation. Ac work very well. You are comfortable the whole time. Bar downstairs offers a bloody mary bar too. The whole 5th floor should be nothing but pools considering how packed this place gets. Great selection of slot machines. Onsite restaurants are way too expensive for the quality.

We have stayed downtown Reno before and never again! The Golden Nugget was very clean and felt more like a nice hotel than other, more expensive, places we have stayed. You can’t get away from the smoke in the Casino but the lobby, our room and the Chophouse were all smoke free!
