Very nice to have a hotel next to the airport. Problem is, with a flight cancelled by one of the airlines, they had no room to store luggage. We arrived at 11 am and were told we’d have to wait until 2 pm to check in. I had 3 rooms booked and luckily one was ready. Thought they might not charge me an early check in fee as baggage storage was full, but they did. Not sure how I feel about that, but paid and went about the day. In hindsight, wish I stayed in Reykjavik an extra day didn’t have to deal with these problems. Hotel was perfectly average.

This property was a 5 minute walk to the airport. We quickly returned our rental car due to the proximity of the hotel to the car rental return. The breakfast opened at 4a.m. so we were able to have breakfast before walking easily with our luggage to the airport. Staff were particularly helpful to us and helped with the printing of our boarding passes.

Great location and reasonably priced!

Comfortable and reasonably priced. Just a short walk from the airport. Early FREE breakfast starts at 4am!! Dinner is also available. Highly recommended!

The only plus for this place is you are close to the airport. We paid approximately $450US for an incredibly basic room...would be ok for a backpacker. You don't even get a fridge. The room is very small and incredibly basic. This place needs more competition with other hotels to open up

I often fly between Boston and Europe via KEF. The connecting flights to/from European cities often have 8-12 hour nighttime layovers. I used to stay in the terminal and arrived at my final destination exhausted. Lately I stay at the Aurora Hotel at KEF. Easy/safe walk from the terminal. You get some sleep and a great breakfast, and arrive rested and ready to enjoy your vacation. If your layover is long enough you can even visit one of the hot spring lagoons nearby or near Reykjavik.

Very convenient to the airport. Clean. Good quality linens. No frills room and bathroom. Could not leave door open when showering as smoke detector will go off. Breakfast was fantastic! Best breakfast in a hotel I’ve ever had.
