Beautiful Boutique Hotel

We stayed at Hotel Alda back in 2022 and enjoyed it so much that we came back again in 2025. It's such a delightful boutique hotel with a terrific staff. We had a small problem with our TV set and the staff upgraded us to the same suite-type room that we stayed in before with a great look out at the wonderful view of Reykjavik. Alda is really convenient to the bus station as well as all the stores/restaurants. It also just feels cozy with couches in the lobby and the Brass restaurant built right in. Good buffet as well (esp. for Brits) for breakfast. The skyr is off the hook.

Nice room with good amenities such as coffee maker and supplies, nice towels and shampoo and soap, hairdrye and good storage arrangements. Fit our needs well for an enjoyable stay. Parking was a bit of a hassle and expensive off site. Would be nice to have a small fridge too.

Great location and friendly staff!

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Violetta was a delight. I would stay again if I had the chance. Great location. Right on the main street with lots of walkable shopping and dining options. Super close to a Bonus (grocery) to pick up some snacks and refreshments.

The staff were polite and friendly. The hotel is generally clean. The TV in the room didn't work, but didn't complain about it - as TV is not the reason to be there. The bed was comfortable.

Great nice place…staff needs work

This play is amazing and probably the biggest nicest room for the money in Reykjavik. It’s right on the main road where all the bars restaurants and shops are, the only downside is the people that work there. They never smile, they never say hi when you walk inside the hotel, when you ask them questions they look bothered. It’s not a culture thing either bc we stayed at 4 other hotels and customer service was excellent.

Very clean and modern. Conveniently located, everything walkable, bus stops around the corner, perfect for solo traveling. Only little thing is that there was a weird smell around the hotel some days, could smell it from my room.

A beautiful, clean hotel. Excellent staff (front desk, wait staff and bar staff at Brass bar and kitchen.) Great area to walk around, lots of shopping and dining options. Very highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!!!
