This hotel was lovely! I had a room overlooking the harbour which was absolutely beautiful. Comfortable but compact, and was a little cold, but very liveable. There was an issue with the key card reader when I arrived, but this was sorted quickly with no problem. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location for tours and for exploring the city centre. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Convenient location from drop off points for tour buses and airport shuttle bus (within 50 yards). Two block walk to major shopping and restaurant area. Very good hotel breakfast served in top floor lounge with great views. No other in house dining. Our room was overheated even with system off. Could not turn off bathroom floor heat. Luckily the windows open. We slept with all the windows open but had alot of street noise from passersby after the bars closed. Bathroom tub/shower had a very high step over to get in or out and it had no grab bars.

The hair dryer was broken. The shower in room 317 was totally nonfunctional. It was ridiculous to even think it was usable. We were told our room was an upgrade because the window faced the water. It wasn’t an upgrade. It was a disappointment. Bathroom was so small the shower was nearly impossible to use without making a mess. Recommend people not accepting rooms this size.

Hotel is a bit more like a hostel. Location is good - water and close to downtown shops/restaurants but rooms are small, uninspiring and below average. Breakfast on top floor is very nice, good spread and great views. Their sister hotel on the plaza was surprisingly cheaper and much better looking and location in the heart of town. Looked like a place where adults might stay versus backpackers.

Worth a visit

Nice view of the harbour from our room. Rooms are basic and compact, not much space for luggage / clothes in bedroom or toiletries in bathroom. Cleanliness was excellent in the room. Restaurant was small but food was good. Felt cramped when all the tables were busy at the same time. Pride week in August was celebrated in this hotel whilst I was there. There was entertainment on several evenings tying in the with this event. A good hotel in a good location for bars and restaurants in the city of Reykjavik.

My stay at Center Hotels Arnarhvoll was fantastic. We were given a welcome gift of desserts to celebrate our honeymoon. Customer service, comfort and cleanliness were amazing. The rooms had great amenities. The cocktails at the bar were by far the most affordable in the city. I found the location very convenient, everything was within walking distance. There are a few parking spots available but P3 paid parking is located right beside the hotel and was very affordable. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Really enjoyed the heated bathroom floor. We were very surprised as to how close we were from everything. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and had a great view. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Loved our ocean view. Convenient walking to eateries and shopping and sites. Believed we had a guaranteed parking spot for our rental car. Only 5 spots provided by hotel for a hundred rooms. We had to scramble looking for paid parking, would have been good to know ahead of time - full disclosure on that!

Tour busses are just across the street, bus stop 5 Harpa. Best of all there is a free shuttle going to and from the cruise port. The property and amenities are good but no airconditioning and no swimming pool for a 4 star hotel.

Prime location in Reykjavik, walking distance of literally EVERYTHING. Amazing staff and amazing service, only gripe was this location didn’t offer massages like their other locations, breakfast could have been better and rooms could have been a little bigger. Very clean hotel, and staff was extremely pleasant and helpful

Popular spot because of easy access to tour pickup stops, the harbour, and a wonderful 8th floor breakfast and evening bar with a Harbour view. Rooms are small but adequate and elevators are fast. The hairdryer in our room was not working but they couldn't replace the wall unit during our stay. Front desk very cordial and helpful. Good choice!
