My room was facing the busy street and some nights it was extremely noisy. The staff were very helpful. The location was in the heart of Reykjavik and accessible to shopping, restaurants and key views of the city. Amazing city to explore.

The hotel was great, well located in the downtown area with easy access to everything you need, staff/owner very helpful and friendly and made the stay great. Only thing to note is due to it being right in the middle of the downtown area is its surrounded by bars and clubs that are quite noisy especially at the weekend and rooms at the front of the building are no good for light sleepers

The hotel is very nicely decorated. Our original room had a problem with the bed and they changed our room in a timely manner. Location is great. Close to bars and restaurants.

Great location!! Comfortable rooms. No hair conditioner in shower, just shampoo and body wash. Staff was very helpful with parking suggestions. Would recommend, but remember that the hotel is located around many bars!! Earplugs are provided

Lovely hotel and stay. Really would recommend. They’ve had a problem with a leak which has put a couple of rooms out and workmen there but wanted and not bothered by them at all. A little noisy at night from weekend revellers but made up by good facilities, great location and a very comfy bed

Perfect location and great staff!

The staff were all super friendly and gave us great tips and suggestions! The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotels was very centrally located and less than a 10 minute walk from everything in the city. Would definitely recommend!

A delightful spot

A lovely hotel in the middle of it all. A wonderful, friendly proprietor. So grateful for the very early check-in. It was unexpected. The room was comfy. The location can't be beat. It did get loud outside on Friday and Saturday night being across the street from a bar and club, but nothing ear plugs or headphones can't take care of.

We loved the funky décor. The room was large and comfortable. The location was perfect, and the hotel manager showed us the best place to park our rental car so we didn't have to pay the exorbitant city parking rates. The only drawback was the late night noise from partiers coming from the three nightclubs on Friday and Saturday nights. I am a very light sleeper so it kept me awake, but for the most part it didn't disturb my husband.

Perfect location downtown Reykjavik right on Austurstaeti which is a big tourist street full of restaurants pubs museums and shops. also connects to the rainbow road! loved the hotel vibe, very cool decor in the lobby. pet the lobby cat! the room was super comfy and the shower pressure was insane! great hotel great spot

The location was excellent in that it was very central. They failed to say that that they were next too two very loud bars They also failed to mention that they adopted a stray cat s their mascot that regularly lived in the lobby. As I am HIGHLY allergic to cat dander, I did NOT appreciate this. I had asked for a quiet double room and was given a twin bedroom next to the elevator and over the bar and spent 2 sleepless nights. I then left the hotel for 4 nights to seek refuge with a friend up north and was re assigned to a quiet double in the back which I appreciated I am not too sure on the housekeeping which failed to replenish my coffee capsules unless it is the hotel policy to only comp you two free capsules on a 12 night stay. The location was brilliant and I only wish they were more upfront of their building problems and mascots giving me an opportunity to book elsewhere. So on transparency a 0 and on location a 4, overall a 3
