Hotel Grandi is set near the old west side. Convenient location for getting to bus stops and walking to downtown. The hotel food is really good with lots of breakfast options. We ate out other times. The Spa is really nice, quiet and chilled for a relaxation and a nice dip in the hot pools and sauna. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room itself was excellent, nicely laid out with a fridge and a kettle. Bathroom also excellent with a super powerful shower. During our visit in March 2025 there was some building works going on outside but as we was out all day on various trips the noise not a problem. Would definitely visit Grandi again.

The adjacent restaurant and cafe are very good! If you have access to the beautiful spa downstairs in the hotel you are able to order from the restaurant with no service charge for them to bring you a drink while you relax in the loungers or in either of the hot tubs they have, you get access to the robes and slippers as well which are very comfy. The staff are very helpful and friendly I really enjoyed my stay here and I highly recommend anyone else looking for a relaxing place to stay to book here!

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were courteous. The restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were incredibly personable and went out of their way to make all of us, including my tween son, feel like valued guests.

Check-In was seamless. The property offers lockers to leave luggage before and after check-ins. This part was especially convenient for us. They are friendly and approachable. The VIP benefits a sweet treat upon arrival, a cute note, and SPA access. The spa was a relaxing ambience but there were children under 12 at the spa which downgraded the experience a little bit. There was no one at the spa area to oversee that so maybe this could be something they could work on. I loved that they have a bar and a cafe that are in the building. They also have plenty of seating available. Our view was wonderful but the curtains were slightly hard to manage. The bathroom was wonderful and they had hot water with strong pressure. The sheets were very warm and sleeping was wonderful, though our 2nd night we were woken up 4 times to the sound of a fire alarm that was coming from a broken elevator. Other than those things the experience was wonderful!

Very friendly staff and nice hotel, spa is good and quiet, make sure to reserve the spot ahead. Construction nearby but we are ok with that, parked at the bus stop parking, still walkable and no complaints :)

This is a great hotel located just a block from the bus stop. It was very convenient for transportation purposes. You can actually walk to the downtown area which took about 15 minutes. The only downside is that you can control the temperature in the room like most hotels. I was ok and did t ask,but no thermostat

Amazing staff. Every person here works countless hours wearing a big smile on their faces. I have seen each one of them going over and above their regular duties just to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as it could be. It felt like they had just one rule book, which is to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. A special shoutout to Jason who went out of his way to ensure we would get hot food for dinner. On our last day we had to checkout before the restaurants opened, and they made arrangements for a complimentary breakfast—that was the most caring gesture of true hospitality. Thank you to the entire team at Grandi for making our trip so memorable. You guys are great at winning hearts and guests for a lifetime. When I visit Iceland again, it will always be Grandi for me.

There was a wonderful bakery/cafe on property—great place to get breakfast. The baristas were fast and the food was terrific. The rooms were a little hot. There is a nice but pricey brasserie on site. The spa was a wonderful feature—2 hot tubs, a sauna, a relaxation room (order drink service with your phone), massages. We were able to do a bag drop until we could check in (there’s luggage lockers) and the 24/7 reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great for exploring the marina and very close to the whale watch museum, northern lights exhibit, the lava show and flyover Iceland. Some fun eateries in that area too. Had a great time here.
