Great stay in central Reykjavik
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment but actually had 3 bedrooms plus a living space with dining table, kitchen area & lounge space. Beds were quite soft but comfortable. Being central and on a Friday evening there was some noise from the bar across the street. We booked a parking space to the rear of the hotel (there are only 5!) But worth it for the convenience. Breakfast was included which was a good mix of cold continental items. Overall a pleasant stay and would happily return.

Welcome and check-in at the reception was a bit lose… but the worse part was to find very dirty sheets in the couch foldable bed!! Had to go back to the reception to get a clean sheet and make the bed myself. Also the evening/night was very noise on our floor with doors slamming and people talking very loud in the commons. Not a good experience overall.

Great great great hotel. A true gem with a wonderful location 2 blocks to the sun voyager on the water and 3 blocks to the cathedral, and right on the main shopping street, Laugavegur. Good breakfast too and if you can get room facing the back courtyard, its very quiet! Our 3rd floor unit was spacious and clean, and contained good storage. Bed, linens, and pillows were excellent. Will definitely use Fron as a base for future Iceland trips.

The good - excellent location, good breakfast, very good price. The not so good - very soft mattress, almost like a water bed, no good if you suffer with back problems. Overall a good VFM hotel.

Safe and Convenient location with major parking issues. The room was nice overall, bathroom was a bit tight but we only stayed one night so not a major issue. The bed linens need some help - stained, hair strands everywhere and a grandmother type bed cover weren’t appealing. We could smell someone smoking through the radiator during the night so it interrupted our sleep. Breakfast wasn’t my favorite - very basic, mostly cold food items, coffee was bitter. Needless to say I ate very light - cucumber, salami, 2 cheese slices and a croissant. Parking is horrendous! The hotel only has a select few spots, perhaps under 10 so you’re left to compete with and figure out street parking. We drove around for an hour before finding a place to park. In summary, for a budget option is a decent option just don’t expect too much!

This property is centrally located in Reykjavik. I felt safe walking to restaurants and shopping at night. I stayed in the apartments and loved the space. Great price. Stayed in 7 different hotels while in Iceland. This was my top experience!

Great end to our trip.
Great location. We had an apartment that was spacious and well equipped. Plenty warm being on the third floor, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Didn’t use their parking but wound up in a P3 zone that was close walking and inexpensive. No issues leaving the car on the street for a couple days.

It's more like a two star than a three star hotel. While it was clean (mostly), the staff were warm/helpful (they let me store my luggage because I had an activity booked before check-in time), and it is super convenient to walk basically anywhere and have access to great food/shops, it has some things it needs to work on. The shower wasn't the cleanest. And there are no toiletries. There was one soap dispenser in the shower and it was almost completely empty. The deal-breaker for me was the constant noise from the surrounding establishments. I got no sleep for the two days I was there. The constant bass/loud music from the restaurants/bars below vibrated the room day and night. Because I was only there for two days, and I was already completely exhausted, I didn't want to go through the hassle of asking for a different room. And I don't think it would've helped if I did. I would've had to have gone to a different hotel entirely. There was also a window above the bed that, even when shut, had a gap between the window pane and the window frame, which let both weather and cigarette smoke from downstairs patios into the room. Thankfully it didn't rain while I was there. It was just chilly. And the bed doesn't have a full sheet set, just a duvet and the fitted sheet covering the mattress. But what really left a bad impression was a staff interaction I had before leaving for my flight at 4am. She was bored, read my review and wanted to argue about why I was wrong. Nope. Not OK.
