We booked a junior suite.
Although the bed was listed as a queen size, we think it was really a double size, but it was very comfortable, regardless.
The room was spacious, with a sitting area and a small kitchen with cooking top and fridge. There were dishes, glasses and cups, but no cutlery, and one frying pan and one pot. But we didn’t take advantage of it because we were around the clock with tours.
The bathroom was a good size, but the shower area, although clean, could use some extra bleach on the grout.
The hot water smelled of sulphur, but although understandable, it may not please everyone. I suggest taking some air freshness.
There is no air conditioner, which is understandable, but you can leave the window open and the room will cool very fast.
The building is not sound proof. We could hear the cleaning going on and even people talking. Some guest were not gentle while closing the doors. Our door needed some oil on the hinges.
The breakfast was included, which is a great way to save money because the cost of food and beverage is very high. Although simple, I thought it was good enough, with plenty of bread, croissants, fresh fruit, cold cuts, boiled eggs, a variety of yogurt (skyr was our favourite type!), coffee and tea.
The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, in our opinion.
The location of this hotel is perfect (although not reachable by buses). If you are renting a car please note that parking is limited.
Overall we enjoyed our staying.
