We had a great stay at this hotel. Everyone was very nice. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Reykjavik. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. She helped us figure out how to use public transportation to get to the city center and buy some medicine. The room was nice and specious. There was no Phone in the room, so we had to go to the front desk if we needed something. I recommend this hotel just know is far from Reykjavik city.

Check in time is late, spacious quadroom

Good value but check in time is really late at 4pm. We didn't know about that (our fault as stated in the booking site but didn't pay attention to it). Arrived at the hotel close to 3pm (which is the check in time for almost everywhere else in Iceland) but was told the room is not ready. So we waited at the lounge and even close to 4pm, it was still not ready. The receptionist had to go to the room to check. Then it was ready. Not sure if this is a case of the cleaners not updating the system about the readiness of the room or they are really cleaning it up till the very last minute. Otherwise, room is decent and spacious. Breakfast is fairly standard.

This hotel was easy to find, and the shower was the best we have had in weeks. After a 26-day cruise, we spent 20 days driving thru Europe and slept in 14 different places. This room was spacious with easily adjustable temperature control and comfortable bed. There was a sport bar run by Gunnar and Camilla that had excellent food that met our needs. Being a sports bar, the menu was limited; but the food was great! We would definitely recommend staying here.
