The property has a lot of history and charm. We stayed in a cottage type room with a loft. The breakfast was very good and served in a room with a viking theme. The restaurant next door was excellent too.

We stayed in a cottage. It was spacious and cozy. Everything was very clean. The only odd thing is that they didn't change the used coffee cups and we were here for 5 days. No biggie, we just washed them ourselves. Hot tub was great, continental breakfast was good, staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We would stay here again.

The rooms are very small. But staff is accommodating and very friendly. Beware, there is construction that begins early in the morning so if you have a room facing the restaurant you may be awoken.

We stayed in a cottage which was very cute. The food and staff at the restaurant were great. We spent some time in the hot tub which was fabulous and our flight arrived very early and they allowed us early check in for a fee which was much appreciated. The only negative was the loft in the cottage was very loud and squeaky anytime anyone even rolled over in the beds up there. We did walk to a cafe near by and a pharmacy.

The showers are from geothermal sources.... Staff welcomed us although Icelandair delayed us 8 hours. Breakfast was pretty good. We caught a city bus back to the airport, that bus stop is about a 10 minute walk. The " Flybus" stop is even closer.

A hotel just outside Reykjavik but well worth it

A really pleasant stay in a very friendly hotel. Staff very helpful, continental breakfast good and could have as much as you like. 20 min drive from Reykjavik downtown and plenty of free parking at hotel. Hotel restaurant next door very good, with again very attentive staff. We will return
