Lighthouse Inn, Gardur
Great location for seeing the Northern Lights out on the peninsula. You do need a car to get around but we picked one up at the airport. Food in restaurant delicious and you need to book a table on EOS. They send you the link before your stay. Breakfast is plentiful and very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and especially Mattihildur who kept us informed of when the lights were about. Highly recommend hotel

Beautiful property, I wish I could've seen it more in the daylight. The room was amazing, real wood. Huge windows opening to face the sea. I really loved this room and was very impressed. The staff went out of their way to be kind and make sure my son and I were comfortable and aware of all the amenities. I will definitely stay here again my next trip, and I recommend to anyone who wants a quiet, peaceful, gorgeous stay.

I still cannot get over my stay at this beautiful lodge like hotel. First the front desk person Matthilda was so kind and helped a group of us look out for the northern lights. This area is adorable and has many options to see the lights if they come out. Their lobby is also so nice and we spend many hours here warming up after chasing the lights, having a beverage and meeting new people. The breakfast is basic but meets your needs and has plenty of options. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the chef who runs the restaurant at night puts so much love and thought into his food. It has been the BEST food ive had in iceland. Even if you do not stay here over night come for dinner. You will not regret it !!

Its a perfect place to stay for everyone expecting the northern light during the northern lights season.(it will still depend on the time of the year and weather of course). Other than that, a lil drive from Keflavic Airport as well as Blue Lagoon. Great place to relax near the lighthouse and the beach!.

Front desk staff was great, buffet breakfast was very nice. We appreciate that the beds could be separated and made into 2 twins, as we are 2 travellers. they also offer a service to knock when the aurora (northern lights) are out.

This is my second time staying here and I would absolutely come back. There's a great breakfast that's included and the rooms are clean. It's in a very quiet area but the restaurant is a great dinner option. I even got to see the Northern lights!

Ocean front hotel near airport
Beautiful place about 12 minutes from Keflavik airport in Iceland. Everything felt new and clean and staff were very friendly. We had to leave early for the airport and so missed breakfast but they provided us with a take away sandwich, drink and fruit when we left. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful little inn!
We wish we had a longer stay. It was beautiful and quiet with kind staff. It’s near a museum and another restaurant at the lighthouse. They offered packed food for the early morning flight we had booked!

This was my favourite hotel from my Iceland trip. Lighthouse Inn has amazing staff, it’s clean and quiet, the location is incredible and scenic, the hotel and the rooms are beautiful. It was overall the best hotel experience I’ve had in Iceland (I stayed at six different locations around the country). I will definitely stay here again when I return to Iceland. 5/5

The staff were so friendly and helpful especially as we waiting for the Aurora Borealis. We had an early flight so they even made up to go bags of food we could take with us so we didn't miss out on breakfast.

I accidentally booked the wrong dates due to a near-midnight flight. When we arrived, the hotel was fully booked, but an off-duty staff member went above and beyond to help us. They found a spare room so we could sleep and wash up for the night. They were also concerned we might get the dates wrong for other hotels we had for the rest of the trip. That's when I know they truly cared for guests. The room's furnishings were top-notch, with an all-wood design that felt like a cozy ski cabin. Very good sound proofing. Breakfast was homely and fabulous. Truly grateful for their kindness and quick thinking. Saved our trip! Would totally recommend this unique place

I paid for an ocean view and didn't receive the accommodation. My room was clean however I did not get prefer for the view and I was very disappointed. I wont recommend this hotel for anyone with specific expectations especially with traveling to Iceland.

What an amazing find. Beautiful location next to the lighthouse. Friendly and accommodating staff that made sure we saw the Aurora borealis that was just beautiful. The breakfast was also just wonderful with a selection of items that anyone could find something delicious to eat. My only regret is that we stayed one night and the next two following nights were going to offer just as stunning Nothern Lights. I will be back!

This was a lovely hotel, nice and close to Keflavik airport, yet on a peninsula that felt secluded and was walking distance from a beach and a lighthouse. The room was comfortable, and the restaurant had a nice selection of menu choices. Breakfast was good. If I get to return to Iceland, I would stay here again.
