As the name implies, great viewing of Northern Lights. Staff help to alert you when the opportunities arise. Nice lounge area to hang out with an “honesty” bar with drinks and snacks.

The staff was very good with communication and answering all of my questions. They helped me book airport shuttles to and from the property! They are very close to the Blue Lagoon so if you have an early reservation for that then I definitely reccomend this property. The staff was also SO nice, will definitely stay here again. They will also let you sign up to get a wake up call if the northern lights are out, in which I did and the front desk guy helped take pictures! All in all a great stay and I will definitely be coming back!

Our main purpose to visit Iceland was to see the Northern Lights! This was the perfect place to see them. We stayed 6 nights and were blesses to see them every night. The staff is very friendly. It is a small Inn but it has all the comforts needed. We enjoyed our stay

I recently stayed at the Northern Light Inn near the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of Iceland's lava fields. It's the perfect spot to unwind and take in the serene landscape, especially with the Blue Lagoon just a stone’s throw away. What really stood out to me was the incredible staff. From the moment I arrived, everyone was so welcoming, energetic, and genuinely helpful. Whether it was recommendations for local activities or assistance with any requests, the team went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. One thing I would suggest for future guests is to consider renting a car. While the hotel is in a gorgeous, peaceful location, transportation options are somewhat limited. Having a car gives you the freedom to explore more of the surrounding area and enjoy the beauty of Iceland at your own pace. That being said, the hotel staff is always there to assist with any travel needs, and they offer shuttles to the Blue Lagoon, which is super convenient. Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch service and incredible views, Northern Light Inn is a fantastic choice!

Couldn't be better
This was my favorite spot of my 6 night journey around the South Coast of Iceland. Such a comfortable and relaxing place. Ideal for seeing the Northern Lights (which I did!). They have games and seating area to wait inside where it is warm for the Aurora to show. If you get cold standing outside, just pop back inside for a bit to warm up and then go back outside to see more of the beautiful Aurora. The restaurant had wonderful food for dinner as well as a very nice breakfast buffet with many great options. I also enjoyed the sauna, steam room and tranquility space there. If your goal in Iceland is to see the northern lights, this is the place to do it!

A very unique hotel in the middle of the lava field. Restaurant dining was excellent and we liked the honor bar for snack or drinks. Of course can’t forget the awesome views to the auroras!!

The geothermal plant takes away from the sweetness of this place. Very thankful they were spared from the last lava flow. Very close to the blue lagoon

The room was clean, spacious, and well-kept, which made for a comfortable stay. However, road closures in the area made finding the hotel a bit of a hassle. The most notable downside was the power plant located right next to the property. It is loud and overwhelming.
