The one thing that came up was that the inn tells you they'll wake you if the lights are visible. If there's no staff during the night, who is waking you up if the lights are showing. The last night of the stay, the lights were visible some places. Had they been visible that night before 3am, who was there to let people know?

Friendly, helpful staff- picked us up from Blue Lagoon when I had mid-read the shuttle bus times. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious (pan fried cod and chicken schnitzel) with big portions. Buffett breakfast very good choice too.

Such great people! The rooms were very clean and very modern with great views of the mountains. The restaurant food was very delicious. There is a good work out room and great living room to hang out in with snacks and drinks. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices to pick from….five stars!! And it is also close to the Blue Lagoon.

Literally situated in the middle of a dried lava field the hotel is very close to the Blue Lagoon and not too far from the airport. It’s not in a town and stands in its own. The owners have made it very cozy and like home. Restaurant is very good and staff are very helpful.

We stayed just two days after they were able to reopen after the recent eruption and were picked up in Grindavik and driven to hotel. Staff was welcoming and supportive even in the setting of this recent eruption disruption. Food was good and environment was wonderful. Comfortable rooms and good set up. Good menu and bar. Location more amazing in setting of recent eruption.

Stay Here It's Wonderful!
I can't say enough about the Inn and ownership quality. Very clean and comfortable Inn. The owners are the most gracious hosts. They shuttled us to the Blue Lagoon and then even to the Airport when our pre-booked taxi failed to show. We have a stellar seafood dinner in Max's Restaurant that is memorable. All the staff were friendly and kind. If you visit Iceland, you must stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Northern Light Inn. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The place was not fussy but at the same time very cozy. Restaurant was fantastic for both casual breakfast buffet and menu driven dinner. Would recommend to any and all without hesitation.

As the name implies, great viewing of Northern Lights. Staff help to alert you when the opportunities arise. Nice lounge area to hang out with an “honesty” bar with drinks and snacks.
