My Partner & I’s stay at ODDSSON Midtown Hotel was wonderful and perfect for our first trip to Iceland. The location is ideal for easily leaving Reykjavik and for also going to the tourist sights Downtown. The room was clean and spacious enough to not feel cramped. It could get quite warm though without air conditioning, but we were fine with just opening the window slightly. The included breakfast buffet was great and made for a really nice start each morning. It’s also great for saving a little on meals which certainly do quickly tally up if you’re staying for more than a couple of days. I think the only slight downside regarding our stay was the car parking at the property. It is quite limited and rapidly fills up in the evening, meaning you’ll need to park elsewhere away from the hotel. As many tourists like ourselves use hire cars, it can be a little frustrating arriving at 8pm to find the car park completely full. That being said, street parking is relatively safe and there aren’t too many restrictions on nearby roads. All in all, if we return to Iceland, we’d certainly look to book the ODDSSON again.

The beds were comfortable and the room was quaint. The breakfast is normal continental breakfast, the coffee is strong. Kata and Maria were wonderful bartenders in the evening!!! The parking is challenging. We parked across the street in the little strip mall parking, much better

Great hotel at a good price. I booked the economy double but later realized it was fairly small from reading reviews. I was worried it would be too small for my husband and I but we were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was great as well. Perfect hotel for the price point

It was practical and clean and the breakfasts were fine. I found parking for my rental car, which had been my central concern. I just wish the hotel had been located closer to downtown Reykjavik so I would not have to drive. The housekeeping when they came were stellar.

It was a nice hotel at a convenient location. Very clean. The breakfast menu was good. The parking was limited hence had to find a spot to park the rental car in the neighborhood when I reached late at night. There's a kronan and a fuel pump very close by so that was convenient too.

No staff was fine, breakfast was excellent and hotel neighborhood was quiet. Bathroom was nicer than mine at home and had HEATED floor and rain shower- that was really nice. Beds were very comfy. No chair or place to put luggage but we made do. 16 parking spaces in the garage meant we got a spot 2/5 nights but parked nextdoor at the Pizza place after 6pm and were sure to leave by 9am. To get into the garage was annoying because you have to come at it from one side of the street so you have to circle the block and then it's a one way so we ended up backing down a hill into traffic a few times when other cars were leaving (just to find out there were no spots anyway). Housekeeping didn't come every other day or every third day and when they came on day 4 they didn't change sheets but they are clear about eco friendly habits so perhaps that's why. Shared fridge on the floor was great and we used the option to grab a kettle and fan from the closets. Would stay there again but it isn't "close" to town: not walkable. There is a 24 hour store, 10am-9pm grocery and a pharmacy nearby which we used. Pizza next door was great but had to call in our order bc we didn't have an Iceland number.

No staff for check in/out but that's the way it is now at certain hotels. Room was very small with no desk or chair but clean and modern. Included breakfast is decent. Location is good close to main roads. Biggest problem is parking, very limited and if car is left in the street you must move it before 8am to avoid towing. Despite all this, I would stay there again if I got a deal as good as the one I got.
