Great place to stay, super helpful (and humorous) information package. We only stayed one night but highly recommend for anyone spending consecutive nights in town.

Great Stay!
Nice upstairs of the condo, making a great guesthouse. Really steep stairs to gain access to rooms. Bedroom was clean and spacious, there was even a couch in ours. Location was a 40 minute walk into downtown or host mentioned a bus line not too far which may have taken 18 minutes. I would suggest driving since parking is not a problem in the city. Nice neighborhood with minimal noise.

So-so
Not worth the price, but as it was New Year's Eve there was literally no other hotels under $600/night available so we paid the $390 for a small room in Town House. The owner is very nice, welcoming, accommodating. She gave us recommendations of where to go, let us check out late, and was just lovely. The room was simple, clean but didn't have a furnished balcony as advertised. Wifi cut out a lot. The bathroom was shared between 3 rooms but everyone was out for NYE so it wasn't an issue. Shower looked a bit dingy so we didn't use it. There is a small kitchen which was a nice touch but, again, we didn't use it. Overall our stay was fine- we really wanted a place close to downtown and since we didn't plan ahead, it was the best we could do. The worst part about the stay was that the owner only takes cash- no credit card, no online payment. We had to find an ATM and find a card that would work with it. She was very apologetic and told us that she has been trying to get Hotels.com to update her profile to reflect her payment method. In summary, great location, great host, over-priced (maybe it was just the holiday), and the listing needs updating to reflect the room amenities and payment method.

Wonderful, helpful, nice owner. Was about a 20 minute walk into town but wasn't bad. Parking right outside. The hot tub was amazing. Was quiet and didn't even notice other guests. Full stock kitchen for cooking. Just wish the bedroom had mirrors.

Clean and comfortable, decent location.
Room was perfect for what we needed and Harpa was a wonderful host. Very cheerful and helpful, we would have stayed more nights if we were in town for longer!

More like B&B than Hotel
Nice bathroom and kitchen shared with others. Next door to sculpture museum and 5 minute walk to several restaurants. In residential neighborhood. 15 - 20 minute walk to city center.

Town House
Nice location in Reykjavik. Our biggest objection was no mirror in the room. The stairs to the rooms are very steep and this is not a B&B--no breakfast at all, only a small kitchen for us to make our own. I fault Expedia for this because I was trying to look only at B&Bs.

A nice guesthouse in a very calm neighbourhood
We received a warm welcome and hospitality from the host. We had a wonderful time throughout the stay, but what I would like to remind anyone who would consider staying gather is that 1) there is no elevator and 2) it takes 20-30 minutes on foot to go to the downtown area. Other than these, it was perfect! :)

Iceland stopover
We paid $120.00 to get there by taxi from the airport! Did not know this obviously. Paid more for taxi than hotel almost. The explanation for the return shuttle was unclear. Told it would be there at 12 noon. It was, however, when it took us to a bus depot I had no idea what to do! Thought the shuttle was going directly to airport, it was not. Had to buy a ticket at bus depot to take a bus to airport, had 3 minutes to get on the bus, very stressful! If this was explained it would have been less stressful. Finally, place was very comfy and cozy except the shower was very dirty.

Basic but clean accommodation in quiet suburb of Reykjavik. Shared bathroom and kitchen area for three rooms.Harpa the owner is very helpful and there are normally basic foodstuffs to get you started.WiFi provided.10 minute walk to sea,30 minutes to city centre.Flybus will pick up and drop off to this guesthouse. Ask for nearest Kronan supermarket for best value food. Recommended and would not hesitate to use again.

Great little gem.
Host was amazing and thoughtful. The room was nicely laid out. The location was within reach of route 1 that leads to most of the natural wonders Iceland has to offer. We got in a jam going to Geyser and had to stay at a hostel dokie to a snowstorm and missed a night. The room was booked for the next night. What was thoughtful and special she said if we couldn't find a place to call her and she will make sure we were taken care of. Extremely helpful. Consider this to escape the noisy weekend nightlife that occurs in the city center.

The host was amazing ! Would go back anytime.
A bit far from the center/downtown area. On foot about 15/20minutes. If you have a car, very easy. The host was amazing, she even offered to take us around and to the cold baths locals go to. She was lovely ! The place is very clean, and our double room felt like home, it was very quiet, and allowed us great quiet space to rest. The backyard is adorable, and I think in the warmer weather would be quite an extra perc. The whole experience with Townhouse was enjoyable, we were happy to have chosen this place to stay. Made our trip very smooth. Also it was convenient to be on the Reykjavik excursions shuttle. The last stop, but it was very easy to get to townhouse from the airport.

Lovely owner
We stayed here for two nights and were in a really clean room with comfy beds. The kitchen was well equipped with an espresso machine plus all the usual appliances. There is also a nice paved garden with a hot tub which the owner can fill up for you on request. The owner of the place is so lovely and really goes out of her way to make sure you have a nice time. The location was perfect for us because we prefer to be a little out of the centre although I can see how this wouldn't be ideal for others. Even so, the walk to the centre along the seafront is very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the worst places I've ever stayed in!
I booked a double ensuite room with single occupancy and I got a twin room with a shared bathroom. The lock was broken on my door. The room was so hot it was like being in a furnace. The landlady told me that if I was too hot I could open this tiny window. I opened the window and also tried to turn the temperature down on the radiator down but like my door lock this didn’t work! The shared bathroom was in dire need of refurbishment and like many things in this establishment the shower didn’t work properly. The water pressure was zero and it was an effort to wash the soap off me! Although breakfast was supposed to be included the guest house owner advised that she doesn’t do breakfast and directed me to a shared kitchen area. She showed me a fridge and advised that there would be cheeses etc. in it for breakfast which sounded fine to me. However when I went to the kitchen the next morning all that was in the fridge was some yougarts and portions of butter! There was no bread, just some crackers in a packet. There wasn’t even a kettle to make some tea or coffee just some old coffee machine with no instructions on how to use it. I ended up in a local café for breakfast. Also this place is in an urban district over 30 minutes’ walk from the city centre so don’t stay here if you wish to be centrally located. I know that the room was relatively inexpensive but you expect the basics to be right.

Comfortable guest house close to Reykjavik
From the minute I arrived-the "Townhouse" made me feel right @ home. Comfortable private room w/lots to offer! Walking distance from city center to many local attractions. The owner, Harpa-is very accommodating & kind. I will definitely stay @ the Townhouse again on my next trip to Iceland!

Straightforward and clean self-catering accommodation, with very friendly and helpful owners. Fed up with staying at business hotels, I stayed here for a meeting at the (very) nearby Hilton. It was a pleasant change and I'd happily stay here again. There's not much in the rooms - take your own alarm clock - but the basics are all fine. The center of Reykjavik is roughly 20 mins walk away.
