We loved this hotel. It was beautiful, people were friendly, hot tub & sauna were great, mountain view room where we could watch aurora borealis from our window, very close to glacier lagoon… it was perfect.

We watched an aurora while in the sauna. It was amazing! The hotel is pretty far away from everything, so be prepared to drive.

This hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Very clean facilities and room. The most comfortable beds, which we so needed after the 5 hour drive from Reykjavik. Loved everything about this property.

By far the best hotel we stayed at on our trip! You get the benefit of being close to the diamond beach and other great stops, having a restaurant in the building, and the perfect spa-like experience with their hot tubs and outdoor sauna! We also got to see the northern lights during our stay. The staff was even kind enough to give us call to let us know when there was a good view of the northern lights. 10/10 experience

Approximately 245 miles (390 km) from the Reykjavik Airport to the Hotel Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon Hotel. The property sits alone on a huge piece of land with view of the mountain glaciers as well as the Norwegian Sea. The facility is spacious, clean and well attended. There is a nice sitting area and bar in the lobby.

The hotel is gorgeous and the views of the glacier are amazing. Staff went above and beyond - even alerting us when the Northern lights appeared. The food was delicious - especially breakfast - and portions huge. The cosy indoor firepit was a great place to meet other people and share tips for our tours.

This gorgeous hotel is very secluded; it’s about an hour to the next town, but just 10 minutes from Glacier Lagoon. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tubs and sauna after a day of hiking. The view of the Northern Lights from there was absolutely spectacular. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and had something for every palate. The dinner menu was wonderful. This hotel is not just a place to spend the night - it’s an experience. There are multiple lounge areas to curl up and read a book or enjoy a drink with friends, there are two hot tubs that are just right, and a sauna with a spectacular view of the landscape. You will not be disappointed!

One of the top hotels
This is probably one of the top hotels that I have stayed at…ever. It was beautiful and the room was modern and had everything that you needed. The view was gorgeous and we saw the northern lights from the hot tub. There are robes and slippers and the breakfast was amazing. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very kind and I wish that we could have stayed longer.
