The rooms are small but so clean and still fairly comfortable. Parking was very inconvenient and the check in process was a little confusing since it’s attached the bar. Overall it was a fine stay but since we arrived at 10pm and were exhausted we were a little thrown off upon arrival.

Nice if you aren’t parking a car.

Hotel was nice…fun and quirky as Moxy hotels are. The bed was super firm which isn’t a fit for us. There was only about 18 inches of cleanse on the top bunk for the 17 year old with us. Good thing she’s thin or she wouldn’t have been able to roll over in bed. The parking garage setup is crap. Getting to it from inside the hotel AND getting out of it once parked/on foot are both ridiculous. Neither are marked well and in some cases not at all. It was very frustrating have to do a couple flights of stairs with our luggage just to get to the parking garage.

Although the cleanliness and property was up to par, my check in experience was horrible. I conveniently took the train into Richmond, Va for a festival. Upon checking in I was told there were no rooms with windows available and it was due to me making a 3rd party reservation. Basically 3rd party reservations a subpar to those who reserve in the hotel site. After I emphasize that I need to be compensated for my inconvenience the staff sent the manager a text and asked if I wanted the available room or did I want to find somewhere else to stay? Needless to say I had a few choice words for him professionally and told him I’ll follow up with his manager. I was assigned another room and given 2 drink tickets the next day but I would never recommend this specific location to anyone. Due to tmy checkin experience.

I absolutely loved the Moxy and hope to stay here again. The bed was incredibly comfortable, great blackout curtains, wonderful air conditioning (that didn’t wake me up), great location. And the staff were so pleasant, especially Mella and Trinity at the front desk.

Door man was excellent, gave me directions and interesting places to visit. They did not have the bed I ordered and gave me a room with no windows. No apologies and she never smiled. The room had bunk beds but I travel solo. Plus I am a Marriott rewards member.

Nice hotel!

The hotel was really nice! Clean which made it much more comfortable to stay. I enjoyed the idea of the supply cabinet in each hall with toiletries, towels, and wash cloths. I wish they had thicker blankets for the bed as I get cold and also enjoy cushy comforters at hotels. Also could use more pillows but I checked in so late I didn’t want to ask for them. I like the complimentary drink card too. Didn’t get to use it but will do so next time I’m in Richmond!
