From 11 pm to 3-4 am there was severe construction outside and no way to sleep. The hotel should have warned us, or put us on a side of the hotel where the contruction was not happening.

Wouldn't go back. Too dirty. Too old. Too tired. No attention to detail or they'd clean the coffee pots, dirt in the corners, stains on the doors and walls, worn carpet, etc. Staff was friendly but the whole place needs refurbishing.

Get room with balcony...very nice! Large rooms. Good wifi. Good shower pressure. Close to lots of restaurants. Parking was expensive. Restaurant in hotel...did not eat there but looked good. Will stay again.

Good hotel in downtown Richmond
The Berkeley was a very convenient hotel for staying in downtown Richmond. Central location and within walking distance to a lot of cool restaurants and bars. I also liked that it was on a cobble stone road. It has a nice historic charm to it as well, but the room could use some more modern upgrades. The man who checked us in was very sweet but the woman who was there at other times could have been more friendly.

Great elegant Throwback.
Lovely old, totally updated hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Robes in the closet, comfortable beds, coffee in the AM. Great location, with good restaurants nearby and a quick ride to the airport.
