My stay at the Opera Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent — safe, central, and with very easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to start the day right. I especially want to mention Oskars at the reception — he was very helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Riga!

Central location

Central location. Tea and coffee in the room. Didn’t like the receptionist’s attitude towards the female couple checking-in before me where he questioned their choice of a double bed. He made the situation uncomfortable which was unnecessary.

I really liked this hotel and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, just across the road from the train and bus station and there is a kiosk right outside the front door where you can buy a day ticket for just €5. There is also a large shopping centre right across the road and a 10min walk will take you right to the old town where there are lots of really good bars and restaurants, not to mention the historical sights, churches and museums of all types. The room was very nice in general but the one criticism I would have is the shower over the bath was not in good shape and it was quite difficult to shower properly without lifting the shower head off as it wanted to point toward the wall and not in the direction it should have. So as not to leave this on a less positive note, I would still definitely stay here again when I return to Riga.

I had an enjoyable stay at Opera hotel, my flight got me into Riga to early to check in however I was able to leave my bag at the hotel until check in time. The room was clean spacious and has one of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The female member of staff on the front desk (I can’t remember your name, sorry) that I spoke to was brilliant, she managed to teach me a small bit of Latvian, Paldies!

Hotel mgt needs to be more proactive with issues!!

Generally good. There was a water pullution issue after some maintenance on our 2nd day. Customers were not informed promptly and we ended up using the pulluted water for making tea. Hotel mgt must be more proactive when customers' health is at risk. Otherwise a good stay.

The location is close to the old town. However, I had to request three different access cards during my stay, as they kept getting blocked, even though I made sure to keep them away from electronic devices.

Wonderful stay

The room was lovely, well turned out and clean. Amazing location, was visiting with older relatives and everything was still in walking distance. The bed was super comfy too. Didnt have breakfast because we thought it was expensive considering how many cafes at half the price were nearby. Only downside was the lack of air con in the room. It was very warm! All the staff at reception were excellent.
