Quiet area with a really nice dog area to let your pet out. Ed, who worked the front desk in the evening, was fantastic. Elevator were a little buggy - they would open after you already got in, but amenities otherwise worked.

The problem is the bait and switch on the pet friendly classification. The reservation is paid in advance and non-refundable but when you check in they spring an additional $50 pet fee on you. There is no mention if the fee when booking nor in the confirmation email.

Great Stay
We made a last minute decision not to continuing traveling home. Found Avid on hotels.com and reviews were good so gave it a shot. Glad we did. We arrived around 1:30 AM and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of luggage carts made getting things to the room so easy. The room was pleasantly cool and very clean. The sheets were great and lots of pillows, and the beds were not bad either. It’s nice having a full size walk in shower. It was a great one night stay at a good price. Would definitely stay here again.

No breakfast to speak of, only cereal/generic bars/egg white omelets. The omelets are premade and gross. no soap in the bathroom or shower. Overall ok, but advertising for breakfast with nothing to eat??

Overall positive stay. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, but under separate bookings -- first night on our way to Atlanta to move our son into his college dorm. Then we went back on the way home for another overnight. Our first night was great -- room was clean, modern and comfortable. The shower was especially nice after a long day in the car. But when we came back on our return home, we arrived late in the evening after a long day of moving into the dorm. We were in a different room (since this was a separate booking). We were too tired to notice but in the morning noticed a collection of nail clippings on the floor next to the wall...Other than that the room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel is very European and it’s outlook. Therefore, there are no glasses in the room. And you have to go downstairs and get it if you forget that fact. There’s no microwave. There’s no refrigerator. It is bare bones. It’s very clean very pleasant. Great staff.
