Has potential, almost there.

The restored/converted bank building was very well done. Our room and bed were very comfortable. But the coffee maker was difficult to use. I ordered the steak offering and it was, at best warm, even after sending it back. Only to find out later that they don't have a conventional kitchen and their 'heating' equipment was out of order. But they certainly charged us the food to meet, Unfortunately, loading and unloading luggage is a real challenge because there is no bellman, and the bell cart barely fits through the front door and you cannot get it to street level to load the carpeting, due to the step down curb. In my opinion, they need valet parking because their psrking is a block and a half away on the fourth floors, and when we were there the elevator wasn't working.

Best hotel in Roanoke

This place was amazing!! I travel to Roanoke for work about twice a year & I have always stayed at Hotel Roanoke but never again!! This is my go-to hotel when I’m in town. So nice, so unique, so comfy, so clean & my room was HUGE.

Hotel is very nice but will not stay here again because of the parking. No security, and not a nice area at night. (Plus we had to pay for the garage, which I wouldn’t mind if there were some security, but it was a dump with no working elevator).

Disappointing stay

For the price the room and amenities (or rather lack there of) are more in line with that off a motel. For over $300 a night I would expect to be able to borrow an umbrella, have a real desk chair, a luggage rack and towel hook in the bathroom. Also perplexed by the decision to use shade panels that don’t actually fully cover the windows instead of curtains or a full sized black out curtain. Parking garage elevator is still broken as of 9/19 so be prepared because the hotel’s parking is located on the 4 & 5th floor
