The Kimpton was exquisite - from the welcome drink to the hotel staff willing to help with anything you need. The ocean view is incredible and the snorkeling in front of the property is the best! Buffet breakfast is totally worth it and has a lot of options, proteins changing daily. I’d recommend using water taxis when possible. Roads are congested and narrow so not good for walking. Hotel transportation is pricey but reliable vs trying to get a taxi. I was excited for my massage at the spa, since it claims to be #13 in the world. However - I had to ask for my complementary drink after the massage. And the hot tub isn’t hot - it was warm. But the plunge pool and relaxing area to enjoy after a treatment is pleasant. I noticed cups from guests left in random spots and not picked up quickly. The steam room in the ladies bathroom didn’t work. And my deep tissue massage wasn’t as deep as expected and, at times, it felt like my masseuse was distracted. For the high expense of spa, I was hoping for a better experience. But it’s worth it for relaxation and to get out of the extreme humidity & heat. Overall - lovely place and location. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kimpton Grand Roatan. We stayed in a 2 bedroom beachfront villa with our family of 4. The villa was spacious and perfectly appointed. The resort grounds are stunning. The breakfast has great variety and delicious. The restaurants on site are great. The snorkeling right off the beach gives Maui snorkeling a run for it's money - definitely the best we have had in the Caribbean. We are already planning our next trip.

I love the hotel and the staff. However, the area around the hotel has limited dining options. I was traveling with two other girlfriends and we experienced some situations that made us feel unsafe and not comfortable to leave the hotel.

Hands down the best hotel in Roatan! It is about a 20-25 minute drive from the airport with traffic. Check in was very easy and fast. The room (ocean view) was amazing. The room and the rest of the hotel seems it was either just built or renovated. Everything is new and spotless. The grounds are very well kept with beautiful flowers, trees, plants. The food was amazing. From the beach bar to the main restaurant, amazing. Restaurant staff was very friendly and knew the menus well. Alera is the main restaurant. Some of the best food we had in the Caribbean. The chef came to every table to ask how the meal was and talk. Our favorite part of the hotel was the location. The water is crystal clear, clean white sand and a reef with all kinds of fish right off shore. Absolutely amazing hotel. Will definitely be back!

The Kimpton Grand Roatán, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is stunning, beautifully designed and among the most visually impressive resorts we've visited. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained. The beach is exceptional, offering the rare combination of soft sand and excellent snorkeling access right from the shore, no boat required. The restaurants were excellent, with a good variety of dishes and high-quality food. The Kao Kamasa Spa was also exceptional, living up to its reputation and truly enhancing our stay. Special thanks to the in-room service personnel for their prompt and courteous service, as well as the Roatán Adventures staff, who made our activities smooth, fun, and well-organized. The activities team at the gear rental area was also incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. However, not everything was perfect. During our six-day stay, a wedding was held on Saturday, and the hotel allowed loud music to continue until 2:00 AM. This resulted in a very unpleasant night, with noise levels reaching 55 decibels inside our 5th-floor room. At check-in, the staff mentioned the wedding and noted that certain areas would have limited access, but there was no indication that music would play late into the night. In my opinion, this lack of transparency was inconsiderate to other guests and poorly handled by hotel management. Additionally, while the setting is truly exceptional, the hotel still has room to improve.
