Everyone is hustling to markup prices 10-20$ even hotel staff. Its insane that this is a Kimpton property charging 500-700 a night for a room. Not worth it

Excellent property! Great location at end of West Bay. The rooms are large and well decorated! The whole resort has an updated relaxed vibe. Two nice beach bars with great burgers and pizzas. Several complimentary perks at hotel like coffee and tea in the morning, snacks at the pool, and social hour in the evening. Polite and helpful staff!

The beach was beautiful, endless snorkeling and water activities. Soft fine white sand no shells though. Blue clear Caribbean Sea. Wonderfully sunny laid back beach days!

Property is nicely upgraded. Some of the women staff are not well trained or unfriendly during breakfast. Others try to overcharge you especially during happy hour. Food is pricey and average. But location and the snorkeling access at the reef makes up for all this.

The hotel is a beautiful place! The breakfast and lunch options are delicious and offer a wide variety of authentic Honduran food. I highly recommend paying for breakfast in advance; it’s actually cheaper! The hotel accommodated my large family perfectly. The resort manager, Yule, was exceptional in ensuring that all my family reservations were taken care of. His expertise and patience in handling and resolving difficult situations make him an excellent leader. Jasper at the pool was kind and attentive to our drinks. I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future.

Miss the old small Grand Roatan

I have stayed at the Grand Roatan multiple times but not since they built the new building. When I made the reservation I didn’t realize I was booking a bungalow far away from the beach. I thought I was booking a condo, I didn’t know even bungalows were part of the hotel. The room was nice but the outside of them is not that well kept, painting peeling, ropes unattached, etc. Prices had gone up to the roof but the hotel lost its charm. The beach is eroding and shrinking and with all the new added rooms it feels crowded. The new building is pretty and luxurious. I miss the old restaurant between the pool and the beach. Spa was great.

This is a very very nice resort. Very relaxing and absolutely beautiful! It is pretty expensive though, so just keep that in mind. Def get the breakfast included, it’s great. Food is great too!

This property is as amazing in person as it is online and in print. The staff, even more so. Every staff member that we encountered made us feel special. The guest rooms are spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The amenities are exceptional. The only thing that was not perfect is the way non-resort guests enter the property from the beach, use beach towels, the pools, and the bathroom facilities. The actual resort guests pay USD $65 PER NIGHT for the amenities. It ticked us (and some of our fellow resort guests around us) to see people taking advantage. We noticed one time the security guard asking a couple to leave the pool with the waterfall because they had no wristbands (resort or day pass). Again, everything else was wonderful. We will return!

Hotel is amazing, very beautiful and well kept. Staff was a hit or miss, some amazing and some just not into it. Only down side was food at the hotel, breakfast was a 10/10 but after that food was expensive and not good. Up side is you can walk a bit down the beach and enjoy other restaurants or options.
