Good hotel, bad guest service
The phone was not working in my room for 2 days. I was not given messages when someone called and couldn’t get through. For two days they would send someone up, it wasn’t fixed and the next day no one “knew” it was broken. They offered no accommodation for this. Finally when I said I was checking out, they offered to move me to another room. This is not good customer service and the manager never took any responsibility for following up and getting it fixed. The physical hotel is great but if anything is not right, forget about it.

The Even hotel is not your average hotel. The atmosphere at lobby level is the best I've ever seen. Very tall ceilings and compartmentalized for people to gather quietly to their liking. Our room was perfect, very spacious with a large bathroom for our handicapped son and his wheelchair.

The property is great. The front desk staff were especially good. The primary reason for the 4 rating is that the bartender on Saturday/Sunday, was incredibly indifferent to the need of the guests. It appeared as though we are an inconvenience. Also, a dirty martini is not typically served on ice in a martini glass... or sweet tasting.

Lousy parking garage design. Dead ended rows, that if full are difficult to turn around in. Inadequate number parking spaces for the number of hotel rooms. No exit signage to show the driver how to drive out of the garage. Only exit signs are at the ends of dead end rows, and only for people on foot.
