Pleasant stay, shower not great

Room was attractive and comfortable. No problems checking in or with staff. Bathtub is a little small, but the biggest issue was water temperature in the shower. It alternated between freezing and scalding every minute or so, no matter what I did. Otherwise, the stay was very pleasant and very close to Mayo for appointments.

Grand Kahler Hotel is an outdated property. When it says of itself that it was totally remodeled in 2020, that means they updated some minor things like new wallpaper, new bathroom sink fixture and probably new solid flooring. The walls must be paper thin because we could here the people in the next room very clearly. The big draw is its proximity to the Mayo Clinic and Methodist Hospital.

My view

I think when he’s cleaning the room, they overlooked a lot of things. I should not see her in my bed. The sheets should not be messed up before I even get the bed the thermostat you cannot use it so it didn’t work. They sent two different people up for room service to bring me towels. Wish there’s no way that you don’t have large dry towels to dry your body off which is crazy. I just think they need to look more into the cleaning cleanliness of the rooms where you have people come all over the world to stay there and alot of your clients are going to the Mayo Clinic.

Generally a great choice for access to Mayo (direct to Mayo complex from pedestrian subway level connecting witb the hotel), however quite pricey, parking is an issue, rooms are quite small, no room by room heating/cooling control. Great Wi-Fi.

This hotel does not have parking. It is valet only and there is no signage for where that is. There is construction around this area at this time which made it even more difficult to know where to go without signage. We discovered dirty/ used towels behind our bathroom door. This room was not cleaned well.
