Right Location, Just know what you're getting into

The stay was decent overall, with a mix of pros and cons. The location is definitely a strong point, conveniently situated near major highways, it made traveling to nearby spots like Gloucester, the Rockport shops, and even Salem really easy. There are also several grocery stores in the area, which was a plus. The room itself was neat and comfortable when we arrived, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The grab-and-go continental breakfast was surprisingly filling and a nice way to start the day. That said, the property could use some updates. While the room was tidy, the general cleanliness of the place wasn’t quite up to par. The pool in particular was not very well maintained, which was a disappointment. We were also a bit let down to find out the hot tub that was advertised in pictures had actually been removed back in 2020, which wasn’t made clear ahead of time. If you're looking for a simple, budget-friendly place with a good location and friendly staff, this could work, just know what to expect going in.

Television was outdated. Front staff told us breakfast was until 9 and it was open until 10, which we found out as checking out. The exterior suites (51) smelled mildewy.

There were stains on both sides of the sofa cushions and we found a bunch of ants on the extra blanket we asked for. Also, the floor had not been vacuumed from previous guests and was very dirty. Staff seemed very unconcerned when this was all reported.

I was really disappointed with my stay this time. The room seemed to only have been "wiped" clean in the bathroom/sink area. The headboard of the beds was layered in dust, as well as the lamps. I don't think it was even vacuumed the carpet had things throughout. The shower curtain was ripped, had no liner so water sprayed out wetting the floor while showering. The ice bucket was not clean, and the top was broken in half. I hope they do better with at least the cleaning of the rooms.
