Decent accommodation near Manzoni metro, 2 stops away from Termini station, walking distance to the Basilica of St John Lateran. Room size okay but ambience is rather gloomy.

The area is run down and the hotel is priced high compared to the hotel I stayed at near the spanish steps. It had good restaurants within walking distance

The hotel had a great location—walking distance to the Colosseum and surrounded by plenty of dining options. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, which made our stay more enjoyable. The only downside was the noise level. Our room was located on the main street, and unfortunately, we hardly slept because of it. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room away from the street.

This hotel was terrible. My room had black mold in the bathroom by the sink. There was also no noise cancelation. You could hear everything outside and in the hallway. They had contractors doing construction at 8am on Saturday they woke me up.

The Best Western President hotel had building works going on that I hadn't been informed about before booking or even when I checked in. The noise was the only negative element of my city break as it occurred every morning sometimes before 8am of my 4 night stay and was very loud due to the drilling!! The staff at the hotel were great very friendly abd professional, especially Giovanni, who brought me a teapot of hot water to have with my english breakfast tea every morning without me asking. The location of the hotel was excellent, less than 1 minute to the nearest metro & 10min bus ride to the Colosseum. The hotel rooms could do with an upgrade but were clean and the staff did a great job keeping my room clean and replenished throughout my stay.

The staff were very nice but you could hear everything. In the hallways, outside, there was no sound barrier anywhere. Our bathroom was covered in mold and they moved us but that bathroom also had mold. Just not so evident. Really upset with our choice of hotel.

We had an issue with our air conditioning on our last night so they had us move to a different room. After returning home, we noticed a charge on our credit card from the hotel a couple of days before our stay, we contacted the hotel and asked about it but didn’t get a clear explanation of what it was for.

While the hotel is very clean and the rooms are nicely presented, there are significant issues with soundproofing. During our stay, maintenance work was being carried out, and the noise began as early as 7:30am each day. Despite being on the fourth floor, it felt as though the work was happening directly beneath us. Additionally, the sound from the busy main road at the front of the hotel was quite intrusive — at times, it felt like the windows were open. Overall, although the room was spacious and well-maintained, the lack of effective sound insulation made for a less-than-relaxing stay. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
