The hotel was very clean and the staff were warm, friendly and courteous. A small fridge and tv in the room would have been nice. It would be nice if the city of Rome could care a little bit more about the litter that is strewn everywhere in the section of Monti (absolutely no fault of the hotel). I would definitely stay again next time I’m in Rome.

Excellent location, staff were fabulous and very helpful and lots of cafe's and bars. we were very happy. The room we had was quiet small and no fridge or coffee/tea making facilities but we had air conditioning. would definitely recommend with location and wonderland

They assigned me room 305 which is super small. The cleaning lady starts making a horrible noise around 8am, making it impossible for the guest to rest. There is a wooden ramp in front of the room door where they go up and down a cleaning cart and heavy things, which makes your stay a disaster :/

SUBJECT: Watch out!!! Unfairly charged us 43 euros for a water kettle we "damaged" when we'd never even seen it!!! They charged us 43 EUROS after accusing us of damaging a kettle that we had never even used. According to them, they were certain because they checked the room daily, and they found the damaged kettle after our checkout. But I didn’t even know where the kettle was. / They claimed that we put milk in the kettle and broke it, but we don't consume milk while travelling. Initially, we exchanged a couple of emails, and we even visited a week later to ask the front desk to speak to the manager. The manager completely ignored my calls and emails for more than two months and also ignored requests from the Expedia Customer Service Team (which I had asked for). If you don’t want to be ignored when problems arise, You should also prepare plenty of evidence on your end.

One night in Rome
Hotel is situated in a great location, easy walk to Colosseum and other key attractions. Easy walk to Metro and one stop from Roma Termini. Staff were professional and attentive. Hotel lobby is very nice however the rooms do not follow same design and finish. Bed is comfortable and room has good A/C. Bathroom in particular needs a renovation. Lockable safe did not work, curtains did not close 100%. Some lights did not work. Easy to hear people in room next door. Hotel has restaurants and bars and shopping on its doorstep and is quiet despite being in a busy area. Good for a short stay.

First time to Rome.
First trip to Rome. Casa Santa Sofia Hotel was perfect for us. In the block there were restaurants, a fountain with a faucet with cold water, gelato place and lots of shops. Christi greeted us at the checkin counter and couldn’t have asked for a kinder clerk. She made sure we knew where everything was in the hotel, provided us help with tours, taxis rides and how to get around. We would be lost without her. Thank you Christi, we already miss you.
