Great location- tired hotel but clean and comfy

Excellent location. Rooms a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Rooms cleaned daily- lovely coming back to freshly made beds and clean towels. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast good but go early as after 9 food runs out and isn’t replenished. The man who is in charge of the breakfast area has an amazing tatoo but is very grumpy! If you can make him smile I’d love to know your secret! All in all- the hotel is run down in the communal areas but if you’re spending time in your hotel whilst in Rome, then you’re not appreciating where you are! Get out, explore, walk, eat and live life.

This hotel was in a convenient location to the train station. It was.close to groceries and dining. Breakfast at the hotel was good and convenient. This hotel had air conditioning which was nice in the summer. The only complaint is the room had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.

If you want to put your head down somewhere close to the main station this is it... Room was basic .. breakfast was average.. there was a lot of rubbish outside the lift was annoying but can't fault anything else about the hotel it's just basic

Really nice, clean hotel in a good location close to the train station. The staff were very kind and helpful. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool. The windows blocked out the street noise really well, not sure what kid of magical glass they use. The breakfast could use some improvement, we didn't find a lot of options that we liked. Also the listing is a little bit wonky on Expedia. I booked the superior quadruple room thinking we were getting two distinct environments (like the pictures showed), but it ended up being a standard room with 4 beds.

Location is great, close to Termini station and lots of restaurants, cafe, stores, laundry mat. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is older and it was dusty and there were some silverfish in our bathroom.

I've stayed at the Hotel California many times before. I select it because of its affordable price and location near Roma Termini. On this visit I found the bed to be supremely comfortable -- this was by far its best feature. The shower was pretty abysmal, barely functional... the soap/shampoo options were equally poor. If you didn't pack your own supplies, you are screwed. It was a disappointing stay this time around. That said, I always find the staff to be super helpful and friendly.

Great location

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. While the hotel looks pretty basic, it is clean and well kept and the staff on the front desk were very helpful. We had a wheelchair user in our group and the lift was easy to use, the delux quad room was very accessible for us and we could easily get the wheelchair in both the room and the bathroom if needed. Breakfast was down stairs which we couldn't manage but the front desk set us up with a table upstairs and we were able to bring our breakfast up to eat together. This was a great solution for us and the breakfast was really good! The location was also perfect for the train station and sight seeing. We would stay here again.

El personal un poco malhumorado, como la mayoría de los romanos ;), pero siempre intentaron solucionar los inconvenientes. La habitación espaciosa con frigobar, y buen lugar para guardado de ropa y equipaje. El baño muy bueno y grande. El desayuno bueno pero el lugar pequeño y cortaban media hora antes de lo que indica el horario. La zona para caminar, tomar tranvía y bus, a pasos de Termini, con muchos restaurantes, nos resultó inmejorable.
