The whole staff was excellent. The breakfast was great! It was easy to walk to the Vatican and many great restaurants. The river is steps away and a good walking and biking trail. It was an easy walk to the train station. Andet and Avy were very helpful with logistics and helping us track my son’s lost suitcase. They and Junior really made us feel at home. Our room was lovely. They gave us good advice and helped us save money, as well. We highly recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely time in Rome! It was our first time and the location of this hotel was really great. I was a little disappointed as I thought that all hotel guests had access to the terrace, which would have been nice to use, however the terrace is only for guests with a superior room. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a little slice of bliss. With its convenient proximity to the Vatican, Trastevere and solid walk to the glorious Roman sites you won't be disappointed in this hidden gem. 10 out of 10 we'd recommend and repeat our stay at Hotel La Rovere. Our room was comfortable and surprisingly spacious compared to most European hotels. It was equipped with all the amenities we needed and most importantly felt clean. The elevator is also a solid bonus! The staff are an absolute delight. Sadly, we didn't get everyone's names, but a few standouts are: Andet, Gilbert and our reception extraordinaire, the always accommodating and friendly Avy.

The staff were great and very helpful. Our room was very nice and comfortable as well as good shower. Great location and close to Vatican city. The central is about 15-20 minute walking distance over the bridge.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a city break in Rome. The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful. They made contact with me within 15 minutes of making my booking, after which I requested twin beds in one of the rooms since my sons were travelling with us. The rooms are clean, and decorated in a modern style, with modern double glazed windows. Tea, coffee, kettle and a fridge (mini bar) also provided in the rooms. The buffet breakfast offers just about everything you could need to set you up for a busy day of sightseeing. The location is extremely convenient for visiting the Vatican and fine for walking to all the attractions in the city. We did not use public transport all week! Would definitely consider booking this hotel again if we return to Rome.

The pictures were deceiving and it’s like a jail cell with concrete walls around you. So tiny and humid with no access to AC. I would not recommend it at all even if you have to stay overnight for a day. It’s more like a 1-2 star hotel than a 4 star as advertised. Do yourself a favour and find a different hotel.

Clean, comfortable, and near the Vatican. Staff was a bit neutral in terms of friendliness, with the one exception being Rolando, who was awesome. Don't expect all drivers to come right to the door, as the entrance is in an alley and a flight of stairs up from the main street.

The locates on a small street, it doesn’t look like a hotel from outside, but the decor inside is modern and unique and clean, plus rooms are big! I took one star off because the hotel didn’t offer a comforter, instead it offered two flat sheets!

BED BUGS! We had a terrible problem with bed bugs and no staff was able to help us. It was so bad we required medical attention. There was no manager available and we are unable to get a refund. I do not recommend that anyone stay here.

The Trastevere area is amazing with lots of great food, history, and people. This hotel is very inexpensive, basic, no restaurant or anything fancy, but is in a great area.

Great Air conditioning

We enjoyed our stayed at Hotel La Rovere. Friendly staff and great accommodations. Having stayed in Rome before and been disappointed by the air conditioning, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The air conditioning was fantastic, especially for someone who suffers from heat rash. The room and bed were comfortable, making for an overall excellent stay. Plus, it’s conveniently close to St. Peter’s Basilica. Highly recommend!
