If you are going to Rome this guest house is a great bargain compared to many other hotels in the area. I especially want to recommend using the car service available through the guest house. Dario picked us up from the airport drove us to the guest house made sure we were able to get into the building and to our room. He then drove us to the port for our cruise and took us to the airport after the cruise. He is very professional, an excellent driver and his rates are very competitive with other shuttle services. He made our time in Rome much more relaxing because we knew we could count on him being there.

This is the perfect location for walking wherever you need to be in Rome! We loved the accommodations! It was clean and very comfortable. The shuttle to and from the airport by Dario was fantastic. He was prompt and friendly and took very good care of us! We absolutely would stay here again if we ever get back to Rome! We had an amazing time!

Spacious, Comfortable

A little difficult to find because there's no outward sign. Just put in the exact address into the GPS or rideshare app and you'll see on the list of names outside the door "Maison Colosseo." Press on the button to ring the bell and someone will come to you. The cost per night was a bit expensive, but the place itself is nice and the owner is very accommodating and professional. She helped me to book transfer to the airport after checkout with a wonderful driver. I put four stars for cleanliness because I can see in the shower tiles some spots of mildew. This was not a big issue, because the rest of the bathroom and room was clean. If staying in Rome, I would recommend staying here! Very close to the Colosseum and other walkable sights. It seems to be in a quiet area of Rome while still within walking distance to places of interest. The room is also very spacious, especially for solo travelers like myself.

This is the perfect location if you come to Rome for easy walk to the colosseum. Host of this hotel is amazing, helpful, and knows the area for assistance. The rooms are super cute, comfortable beds and the breakfast is ala Italian style and dining around the corner is amazing.

Close to the Colosseo and a wonderful area for a walking tourist. Very small room but all I needed for one person. Lovely hostess and this morning the staff were so friendly. A substantial Italian breakfast. I would have liked some ice, or a freezer to make my own for the warm wine I had! But that’s such a small thing. Value for Roman money for sure.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to rest your head while you are staying in Rome, this is it. It’s nothing special, but the AC, shower and bed were great, the staff was very kind and helpful with directions from the time I landed to the time I arrived to the guesthouse. There was a convenient store, walking distance to colleseum and plent of food options.

Charming room and friendly staff near colosseum

Nothing fancy, but very charming and super clean room. Breakfast was self-serve in own room which worked great for us because we didn’t have to rush to a breakfast area by a certain time. The bldg is very private and well kept. It’s away from all the hustle in Rome, but also convenient and very close to the colosseum and imperial forum. We regret not booking our entire stay in Rome at this place; the other place we stayed at wasn’t as charming and was more expensive. Our stay at MAISON COLOSSEO was perfect (once we'd figured out how to lower the window blinds on day 3 - what fun!!). Great position for some of the major sights and not far to walk for others. Ilaria information was very welcome and she pointed out some great places to eat, good variety of food at a good price. When we go back to Rome we would be very happy to say there again! Highly recommended.

Great for couples

This is a guest house, so feels comfortable and no rushing for breakfast 8n the morning as this is supplied for you the day before. Is continental style. This is in a residential block within a residential area but not far from restaurants at all. Colleseum within easy reach and tube station. The only negative is that can be noisy from neighbours at times. But everything is clean and comfortable and is great for couples. Very friendly and helpful owner. Would stay again

Only problem was we booked a triple room, and they put in a put up bed which was comfortable and would be suitable for a child, but we were 3 adults which made the room feel small, not enough space to store things
