We had an amazing stay at the Marriott. The center of Rome was a quick 20-30 minute taxi away. The highlight really for us was the free breakfast in the morning.

As being a Marriott hotel, we were not impressed whatsoever. It was hard to get any service out at the pool. This is one of the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. The pool had algae on the sides and the bottom of the pool. We went to buy beers and the lady that was working made us wait forever and she made it feel like she didn’t even want to wait on us. We arrived and had to have cleaners come and clean the carpet as there was black stuff all over one side of the bed. The wallpaper was coming off the wall. At breakfast, we had to repeatedly ask for pancake, which never came and repeatedly asked for espresso, coffee.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Staff was courteous, room was decent, and I really enjoyed the huge comfy lobby - great people watching. I was a little disappointed with the gym. Equipment was sparse and outdated. Limited cardio options (one treadmill, one stepper, and one elliptical)!

For the quality of the property, this hotel is quite a bargain--perhaps because it sits on the outskirts of Rome. It's only about 11 km or so from Fiumicino, so it's easy to reach. I highly recommend this location.

The only nice thing about this property is the pool and its close to the airport other then that its a ZERO. Do not stay here. The rooms are dated, service in restaurant was awful, food was awful, room didn't have AC that worked and when we asked to get moved, they turned the electric off in our room before we could even pack and move to another one. Had to pack in the dark. Not only that the shuttle service to the airport is not free. You have to pay for it. We should of listened to the other bad reviews and stayed somewhere else. Lesson learned.

This property is old and away from the city center. The carpet is dark navy colored, and seems very dirty. We are afraid of bed bugs. Fortunately, we did not see any during our stay. The location is close to the airport.

Although the pool area and staff were fine the hotel staff was extremely rude. We called three times because we had no A/C with no results. Extremely hot. They finally agreed to move our room at 11:30 pm. Then promptly turned off all electric to our room. We were left packing in the dark by phone light. Absolutely ridiculous. Once in our room we discovered we have no tv remote. Called from desk and a hostile maintenance man brought a remote which was broken. Really! Restaurant experience was absolutely deplorable. Had to ask three times for our check, plates were never cleared, food was the worse we had during our two week stay in Italy. Service was abrupt and rude. Worse Marriott experienced we have ever had! We will contact Marriott to file a formal complaint!
