Very Good

The guesthouse is ok. Reasonable value as closed to lucerne. It is opposite large paper factory and put in small attic room. Check in closes as 8pm but can make special arrangement to check in later, which is ok and don't have to pay extra for parking.
Staff is very friendly. Very quiet location. Located about 30 minutes by bus from Lucerne. There's not much to see around the hotel but Swiss public transport takes care of this as there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. You can expect to catch a bus every 40-60 minutes.
Our breakfast was included and they always had first rate coffee (lungo). And excellent milk and cheese platter.
We were a group of 6 couples and not everyone from a well behaved family - but they accommodated us with a lot of heart and soul. We were a bit noisy during our stay but the hotel staff always politely mentioned this to us.
Hotel itself is excellent with a very pleasant staff. As mentioned by another guest, there is a paper mill across the road. It did not produce any loud noise; just a constant, low level hum. The food at the in house restaurant was good too. Will use it again.
This hotel is off the beaten track and is opposite a factory which is running 24/7 however, there is no noise or anything from it. There are two wood mills along the road as well, so the road can be quite busy with industrial traffic. The reception isn't open on a sunday (when we arrived) however, they give you a code to get your key which is fine. The restaurant isn't open either so bear that in mind. The surrounding area isn't really very vibrant so you may find yourself going further afield for food/drink. When we met the staff the next day, the lady wasn't very friendly to us - I don't know if it was because we were british or bikers but it was a relief to leave the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious so it probably makes an ideal stop over hotel, but I wouldn't recomend it for a prolonged stay.
